Dark Angel (HS Fanfic)

It was dark outside and me being me I was pretty scared, I have never walked in the dark, yeah never. I guess Caleb sensed something cause he looked at me,

"What's wrong?" he asked, I laughed,

"I never really walked in the dark before," I admitted, he laughed,

"Really?" he said, I shoved him playfully,

"Yes really! It isn't a big deal," I laughed,

"How old are you?" he asked,

"18" I said, he laughed,

"The past 18 years you've been on the earth and you haven't walked in the dark" he said, I nodded,

"Yup" I said,

"Well, don't worry, we will be fine," he smiled, he turned his head and looked down at me, I smiled and looked away. We walked in silence the rest of the way and we finally came upon a small little café, it was actually the one I went to earlier. Caleb opened the door for me and we walked in, we seated ourselves in a booth by the window. Elena, the waitress from earlier, came over to us,

"Welcome to-" she stopped once she looked at me,

"Oh! Hey!" she said, I smiled,

"Hey," I said, she looked at Caleb and her smile faded away,

"Caleb," she said his name with disgust,

"Elena," he said back with the same tone. I looked at them confused,

"So, Alex, you still working tomorrow after school?" she asked, I smiled and nodded,

"Yeah of course," I said, she smiled again,

"Great," she said, Caleb's phone started ringing, we both looked at him, well this date is awkward. He looked at me and then back at the phone, he put a finger up, and then he answered it,

"What?....No....Why...right now?....cant it wait...but..okay...I said okay, be there in a minute..okay..bye" he hung up and I gave him a confused look,

"I have to go," he said, he stood up and headed for the door, I stood up and followed, Elena shook her head and went to the back.

"Wait, Caleb!" I said, he was walking really fast, he wouldn't stop,

"Caleb," I said again, still not even stopping, wow.

"Stop following me, I have to go," he said, I ran up and stopped in front of him,

"Wait" I said, he stopped.

"What?" he snapped, I flinched back,

"Did I do something?" I asked, my voice quiet, he shook his head,

"I just have something to do," he said,

"So, you were just going to get up and leave?" I asked, showing the fact that I was hurt,

"Yeah, it is important," he said, and now I am really hurt,

"Wow, okay, well it was nice meeting you," I rolled my eyes and started walking back towards my house, he sighed,

"Wait," I stopped,

"I really have to go," he said, I turned and looked at him,
