I shake my head. No. I can't turn back. I can't. I couldn't... No matter what, I promised myself I wouldn't run away. Even though it was only dinner with an old friend, it felt like more. Like... There was something I couldn't see clearly. I mean... *Why?* Why after all these years-? I thought. Did he want something? Did he simply want to catch up on things? I'm not sure... Regardless, I had to figure out, as I let my curiosity flow through my mind... Consuming whatever other thoughts I had. I drove up to the gates, and the gates opened automatically, giving anyone an advantage to drive their car through, which is what I had done. I roll my eyes and park. As I opened the car door and got out, I looked up at the building, a mansion, about four stories. It was fancy, and looked around eighteen years old maybe.
