"Do you need a ride?"

"I don't want to trouble you, I am more then happy to get a taxi", the blonde says trying not to be an inconvenience.

"It's no problem at all newbie", Mapi respondes as her and Ingrid head towards their car. "You're just lucky Ingrid left her phone inside, otherwise we would have missed you."

The three women pile into the car in a comfortable chatter. "So we were thinking of having a small get together tomorrow evening, after training with the team to celebrate you becoming a part of the team, if you are interested"

"You guys don't have to do that", the blonde replies, feeling somewhat guilty for putting that pressure on the couple.

"It would be a great team bonding night and honestly, the team loves any excuse to have a party, so please", the defender begs in hopes the team to get to know the new girl, especially their captain.

After all the years Mapi and Alexia were inseparable, everyone knew the pair to be bestfriends, and after all their time together, Mapi had never once seen Alexia look at someone the way she was at the training grounds. Even when the captain and Jenni Hermoso had a small fling, she had never seen her like that.

"Also please put in your address otherwise we will be sitting here until I finally convince you", Ingrid looks over at her girlfriend knowing she always gets her way with how persuasive she it.

"Okay fine", rolling her eyes out of how easy she was convinced, just at the thought of seeing Alexia.

After the quick car ride, the striker thanks her teammates and heads towards her apartment. Turns out a few of the girls from the team all live in the same apartment block including Mapi and Ingrid, so they offered to continue the rides until Karter's car is finally ready.

After finally settling into her home after a big day, Karter decides to start making herself dinner. A notification goes off on her phone distracting her, assuming it's the offical Barcelona page announcing her signing, she doesn't worry about checking it just yet.

Sitting down to eat her poor attempt at cooking she uses this time to check her phone.

Contemplating her options she decides to follow the captain back, maybe it was just a mistake?

Meanwhile back at Alexia's apartment, the brunette was pacing around her living room, phone still open discarded on the couch.

How could she be such an idiot?

Of course Alexia was thinking about their new teammate who made quite the first impression. Deciding to have a look over her instagram, she throws her phone in a panic after accidentally hitting the follow button. Alexia stood there in shock.

Was it too late to unfollow her now?

Maybe block her?

She was panicking, when suddenly she receives a new notification.

The captain couldn't contain her smile, until she remembered what their coach had said earlier that day, "she is coming for your spot La Reina", this caused in instant change in Alexia's behavior. She had to focus and couldn't let this girl disrupt her performance. After already winning one Ballon D'or last year, she had to make sure she would secure her second in the upcoming season.
