"You're stubborn"The unknown---and very dumb--- person said as he watched me try to break another chain.
It has been an hour ever since I got here and I've broken ten chains in total, but they kept putting me in more and more chains the moment I broke one of them.
"And you're dumb"I stated.
He shrugged. "Lazy not dumb"He corrected.
"Same thing"
"It's not"
"You'll die if you do nothing, so yes you're dumb"I pointed out.
"Not if I didn't want to live in the first place"He casually said.
"Ah yes, I forgot that you're depressed"
He shrugged once again and simply ate the bread that the kidnappers had given us without any single worry that it might be poisoned.
"I wonder why you aren't in wonderland yet"I mumbled.
For the first time during my time here, he looked at me with interest in his eyes instead of that lifeless blue sky.
"What's wonderland?"He asked.
"A place where pain doesn't exist"I revealed.
It's actually forbidden to tell someone about it, but I'm pretty sure that one day he will also be brought to wonderland by Gempa, it's just a matter of time so I might aswell tell him now.
"You're even more childish than I thought.."He mumbled.
"It's true!"I argued.
"Yeah, yeah, just like that man being a grim reaper"
I was about to argue back, but then I realized that he had a point. How can he believe me that easily?
"It's true, if you believe it or not"
"Hm"He rolled his eyes.
Something about him not believing me pissed me off and I spoke without thinking: "I will bring you to wonderland when we get out of here! Then you won't have a choice but to believe me"
"Sure, you will"His voice drier than the dessert.
"I will!"I huffed. "Just you see!"
"Mhm"He laid down on the ground and closes his eyes.
Hmpf! Just you wait!

Hours passed and I was getting tired of breaking chains. No matter how many I broke, they kept replacing it over and over again!
"Finally I can sleep peacefully"My cellmate said.
Ah yes, he is also here.. how can I forgot..? That motherfucker has been annoying me with his comments all day!
"If your despressed, the least you can do is shut up"I scoffed.
"Not my fault that you disturbed my sleep"
"Is that all you think about!?"
"It's already tiring enough to still be alive, I don't need anything else to tire me"
"So as long as you can sleep you don't care what happen to you?"
"Yup"
"So you wouldn't even care when you become someone's pet?"
"Not if they let me sleep all day"
I froze and stared at him in disbelief. I can't believe my ears.. what the actual fuck.
"Yeah as if"
"Is there a reason for me to lie?"
"Good point"
"I know"
With a sigh I leaned my back against the cold wall and stared at the metal door as I spoke: "Don't you value your life?"
"Let me turn it around, what is there to value?"He said as if it wasn't a big deal at all.
"Wow, you're sadder than I thought"I laughed sarcasticly. "Why are you so depressed anyway?"
"You don't have any manners do you?"
"I'm sure you don't care either way"
"You're right, I don't."
"So, tell me"
"Why should I?"
"Why not?"
"Talking is taking too much energy"
I swear to god-
"If you tell me I will let you eat my bread"
"Deal"He said with no hesitation.
Of course he agreed..
"So? Start now or imma eat this bread"I held up the bread that the kidnappers had given for me but was still left untouched.
It's not like I'm planning on eating it anyway. If there's one thing that Halilintar taught me, is that to never trust people easily, especially when they kidnapped you.
"To put it short, people around me are assholes and I hate life"
"I did not offer you this bread for a shortened version"
"Fine"He sighed in annoyence. "This better be worth it.."He mumbled.
"I meant it when I said that people around me are assholes. My parents abused me"He pulled up his ripped off hoodie a little, but enough for me to see various of scars, some are minor while some are so deep that it had to be sewed together. "My other relatives basically treated me as their maid and free babysitter. I had to please them if I wanted food"There was a part of irony in his words which I immediately noticed.
Without thinking I handed him the bread which took him by surprise, but I didn't say anything and simply waited until he recovered and continued.
"Children in my school bullied me and accused me a lot of times which caused me to get punished by my parents. They never touched my face and forced me to wear hoodies and long pants. At first I hated it since it was always too hot in summer, but now I grew fond of it. So much that I feel vulnerable without it."His eyes reflected his inner feelings, nothing. They were both empty and lifeless. A soul with no purpose nor will to will, only its body is left, waiting for the day until it too dissappears.
"So you grew tired of life?"
"Yes"He took a bite of the bread, looking so tired as if he hadn't slept for days but in reality he had slept the entire day. "Now I'm just waiting for my heart to stop beating"
"Hm, I see my condolences"
"It's fine, everything hurts less after you get used to it"
But you shouldn't get used to it.
I kept my thoughts to myself and blankly stared at the wall in front of me until I couldn't bear it anymore.
"If your life is so little to you, then you won't mind being 'mine' would you?"
He turned to me and looked at me with disgust.
"Belonging" I stressed.
His disgusted expression dissappeared as his lifeless expression appeared.
"I take good care of my belongings, so no need to worry about anymore pain"I added. "Just be lifeless like always"
"There's food I hope? Cause I would still have a living body despite being your 'belongings'."
A smile creeped on my face. "Of course, as much as you want. But there's no going back"
"Never planned on doing so"His lips slightly raised upward, creating something that resembled a smile.
A new belonging. All mine.
