In love's embrace, we once did dwell,
Two hearts entwined, a tale to tell.
But life's winding road, led us astray,
To different paths, we went our way.
Hand in hand, we used to roam,
In each other's arms, we found our home.
But dreams diverged, ambitions soared,
And separation's bitter taste we bore.
You chose the sun, I chose the moon,
Our destinies pulled us far too soon.
Yet, in the quiet of the night's embrace,
I still feel the warmth and smell your essence.
Though miles apart, our souls remain connected,
A love so strong, so genuine
That even without me by your side, I wanted you to grow.
The memories we forged, they still persist,
In the recesses of my heart, they exist.
Perhaps one day, our paths will cross,
And once again, our love might grow.
For love like ours can't truly die,
It lingers on, reaching for the sky.
Though we walk separate roads, my dear,
In my heart, your love is always near.
