Xypher entered Goiky on a late night, and found Book walking alone. They grew angry, remembering the way she treated Taco in pre-split BFB. In a fit of rage, Xypher charged towards Book, grabbed her, tearing off her front cover, and ripped her pages apart, but making sure she would stay alive. They knew that if she was killed, she could be recovered, so Xypher used their powers to make Book immortal so her suffering could continue. Xypher said to her that if she would become their peon, her existence would become less painful. Book wanted to scream for help, but she feared for her own safety, and reluctantly agreed. However, her bloodcurdling scream got the other object's attention. They now knew something was wrong. Two decided to start a search party for Book.
