It's a bright sunny day in Maretime Bay and Sunny is enjoying every bit of it. She sits on the hill of her seaside home and watches as the sun kisses the horizon. Making a beautiful ray of pinks, oranges, and hints of purple in the sky.
But just as how quickly the beautiful display appeared is how quickly it was taken away...
The sky suddenly turned dark and grey as storm clouds circled around the lighthouse. Confused Sunny stood up and spun around to see the dark clouds that circled her home.
"Sunny!" a voice called out from inside the lighthouse as the earth beneath her hooves began to shake. Looking inside the lighthouse through an open side door Sunny could see her father, Argyle, frantically searching for his daughter inside. Confusion struck Sunny's face until fear settled in when she saw cracks begin to form on the outside of the lighthouse.
"Dad! Dad, I'm right here!" Sunny called out to her father. Grabbing the indigo Stallion's attention Argyle turned to see his daughter outside as the storm's wind started to push her towards the earth.
"Hold on Sunny I'm coming!" Argyle shouted as he began running to the door. Sunny tried to run too but her hooves froze in place, rendering her helpless as she saw the second floor of her home collapse...burying her father inside.
"DADDY!" Sunny called out but no one answered. Tears began rolling down her cheeks and her heart began to start pounding. But before she could try setting herself free the lighthouse began crumbling and then the top started to fall. Falling right on top of the stuck earth pony...

Sunny jolted up, gasping for air and patting her face to see if it was all real, if she was real. She ended up winching when she moved her left foreleg the wrong way.Yup. I'm definitely real.
Calming herself down, Sunny wiped off the cold sweat that was running down her face.
Where am I?
Looking around, Sunny noticed that she was in a room that she didn't recognize. She couldn't see too much as the blinds on the windows beside her bed blocked out most of the light from outside, making the room even darker and harder to see. But trying to make out the room in the dim light that did manage to get in the room. Sunny could make out a small TV hung on the wall in front of her, a shelf behind her bed that stretched the small wall behind her, some monitors to the left of her bed, and a pull-out bed from an armchair that seemed to have been used by somepony. The makeshift bed had some tossed-around blankets, and empty snack bags that appeared to be littered around the floor. Many being granola bars, trail mix, and those small snack bags of chips.
Sunny continued to scan the room as her eyes gradually adjusted to the dark room she found herself in until she came to the conclusion of where she was.
So I'm in the hospital...but how did I get here-
Sunny heard voices come from outside her presumed room and recognized the voice as Hitch and her friend Pipp.
"What if she never wakes up?" Hitch said with a sadness and worry in his voice.
"It'll be alright Hitch...I'm sure Sunny will wake up soon." Pipp opened the door and froze at the sight of the apricot earth pony sitting up in her hospital bed.
"S-Sunny?" Pipp gasped out as a smile started to stretch across her face, tears forming in the corner of her eyes. Pipp stood frozen in the doorway for a few seconds before Hitch started pushing her to the side of the room.
"Pipp, what's going on? Is Sunny ok?" Hitch rushed inside the room and froze in his steps when he saw Sunny Starscout, awake and up for the first time in a week. Tears started to roll down the amber stallion's cheeks and he rushed forward to give Sunny a tight hug. It was only then that Sunny realized that she had one of those oxygen things around her ears and in her nose, as the tube tugged at her ears as Hitch continued his tight hug she started to notice the pain in her chest as she breathed.
"You're awake! You're finally awake!" Hitch exclaimed as he tightened his hug around the apricot mare.
"Uh Hitch! A bit too tight there!" Sunny strained to say as the hug nearly cut off her airway.
"Oh, OH! Right, right, sorry! I just...just...I'm glad to see you're alright Sunny," Hitch replied, letting go so Sunny could breathe again. Then it was Pipp's turn to rush over and give a big hug to the earth pony mare. After hugs were exchanged Sunny was itching for some answers.
"Ok yes, I'm awake! But guys what happened? The last thing I remember was being with you two and Zipp and Izzy on the pier." Sunny asked, trying to remember anything after that but everything was blank.
The sheriff and Pegasus Princess just looked at each other before Pipp sighed and pulled herself to sit next to Sunny on her bed.
————————————————————————
After maybe an hour of explaining to Sunny about her passing out due to a collapsed lung and her being unconscious for about a week due to her draining transformation into an Alicorn. She was supposedly rushed to the hospital by Hitch and was told about how he tended to her every need, never once leaving her side. Except for when she woke up as Pipp had convinced Hitch to go home, get some real food besides granola bars, and take a much needed shower. The stallion looked away and blushed at the re-telling of his caring nature to the apricot mare. A few minutes after some explanations and a phone call made by Pipp, Zipp and Izzy burst into the room with ecstatic expressions once they saw Sunny. So like the two ponies before they tackled the apricot pony, pinning her to her bed as they giggled and cried at the sight of their friend being awake after so long.Spending the rest of the evening with each other they just caught Sunny up on what she had missed in the past week. The others filled her in on how Canterlogic had been at work taking out their anti-unicorn and anti-pegasi tech all over town. Then the rebranding of Canterlogic to be more targeted towards family needs for all ponies. Then the surge of new residential building for the expected incoming swarm of new unicorn and pegasi residents in Maretime Bay.
Hearing all of this, all of the new change excited Sunny and it made her happy to know that the future was looking brighter than ever. If only her dad could see her now.
I did it dad...I made our wish come true...
