Meeting the in-laws

The night after the festival, and the officiating of their new relationship, Jaune and Winter enjoyed their night together with Lily.  Winter was nervous due to her new role as a mother figure to her.  However Lily's kindness and love went out to her regardless.  

Ruby and Weiss watched from a distance, happy at the sight ahead of them.

Ruby: "You think we'll find someone like that?" Weiss shrugged.

Weiss: "I'm not too worried currently, after the whole Neptune debacle I'm good on finding romance for now.  If something comes up than I'll go with it." The two conversed but were taken aback by a voice.

???: "Is that Jaune.." With that Ruby and Weiss' eyes almost popped out of their skulls. They turned to see what was left of team JNPR. With Pyrrha looking sad.

Weiss: "Oh crap."

Ruby: "Not good!" The two stood in front of them. "Look, I know you haven't seen him in a while, but let Jaune have a night with no drama!" Ren and Nora stared at Ruby and nodded, which makes sense, they never really had anything against Jaune's transcripts. If anything, they were more mad he left before they could wish him farewell.

Ren: "Understood, I only wanna ask, who is that woman and child with him?"

Weiss: "The woman is my sister, we just got them together, and the child is his daughter.  He adopted little Lily some time ago." Nora stared at the girl with the eyes of 'Must hold cute child'. 

Ruby: "Now come  on, let's go." Ruby starts attempting to move the group. Pyrrha just stares onward, slightly resisting, but feels a tug on her shoulder. She turned back to see Nora.

Nora: "Pyr, just drop it. You lost your chance, let's leave him alone." Pyrrha was dragged away, tears staining her cheeks.

Ruby and Weiss watched as they left.

Weiss: "Should we tell him?" They both looked at the new couple.

Ruby: "Tomorrow, let's not spoil his time."

As they watched, the night slowly came to an end.  The couple walked to the cafe, while Jaune and Lily said good night to each other.  Jaune and Winter gave each other a kiss good night, and Lily was led to her room. As Jaune laid on his bed, happiness flowed through him.  He was happy with how things are going in his life.

'Ping'

He heard his scroll go off.  As he looked over, he saw a message from Weiss. 

Weiss: 'Hey, something important happened, when you can we need to talk.'

Jaune: 'When did you have in mind? Maybe tomorrow?'

Weiss: 'That's fine, I'll be there with Ruby, its in regards to your old team.  They saw you.'

And like that his good feeling went away, albeit momentarily.

Jaune called Weiss on her scroll, the anticipation of texting wasn't good for him.  

Weiss: "Hey, I can't talk too long, but whats up?"

Jaune: "Hey, I'm sorry, but is it something that Lily could be in danger with?"

Weiss: "Nothing like that, but Pyrrha saw you, and she didn't seem happy to see you with my sister.  Just take it easy for a bit okay? Me and Ruby will  be there tomorrow."

Jaune: "Okay then, I'm hoping that noone catches on, and there aren't any more extra visitors tomorrow."

Weiss: "I'm sure it'll be okay. We'll be careful."
