I wake up screaming. My body is covered in cold sweat and I'm shivering. I take a few moments to blink and adjust to the light shining from the window.
'It was all a dream?'
Suddenly I hear a knock on the door.
"Hello? Miss (L/N), are you alright?" A familiar voice says.
Sebastian.
I turn my head facing the door. My (H/L) (H/C) falls into place and I'm tangled up in the bed sheets.
"Yes, come in." I reply back.
I hear a click on the door and I watch the door handle turn. Then he steps inside the room.
"I heard you scream. Is everything ok?"
"Yes, I'm fine. I just had a bad dream."
"Oh. What was it about? If you don't mind me asking." He asks.
I do mind. I don't even remember that much of it.
"I'd rather not talk about it...." I say.
He smiles at me and gives me a nod. I notice that he's holding a letter in his hand. I look at it and try to define what the letter says. Sebastian took note of me looking at it.
"Oh, pardon me, I forgot to tell you." he says "The residents of the Phantomhive Manor have been invited to a costume party at the Trancy's Manor."
"A costume party?" I ask.
"Yes, would you like to come? I don't think they would mind us bringing a friend."
Friend?
A costume party seems like lots of fun!
"Sure! I'd love to come too. But, I don't have a costume." I tell Sebastian.
He giggles a bit.
"Thats not a problem! Mey-rin will help you find one at the town's costume center. She is the maid of the manor." He tells me.
Mey-rin. Thats who the maid is.
"Thank you." I smile.
"It's no problem. I will be back with breakfast in a few minutes." He says and leaves the room.
'A costume party, huh. What am I going to be? Perhaps I can just put a mask on and call it a costume.'
~~~~Time-skip to the costume store~~~~
"OH! How about this one?" Mey-rin says holding up a clown outfit. Absolutely no.
"Um....Perhaps we should keep looking." I respond.
"Oh come on, (Y/N), you said no to half of the costumes I find." She says looking a bit annoyed.
I just don't want to be the center of attention. Thats all.
We continue looking.
Possibly around 2 hours of walking around, looking at costumes that are either clowns, or pirates. Until I find the perfect one. Its a black, ruffled dress that goes just above my knees and one big white flower. It wasn't exactly a costume, so I added a cat tail and ears. I'll be a cat for the costume ball. We finally headed to the check out line. The cashier told me the amount of money and I grabbed my wallet and opened it.
"Oh, (Y/N), this one is on me." Mey-rin said.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes! I'm alright with paying!" She says.
I smile at her and say "Thank you, Mey-rin!"
