"I can see why you have a old cabin..." I said seeing their good sized aircraft.
"Yeah. Spent tons of money on this bad boy." Vail said patting the aircraft and making it echo.
"How do you work it exactly?" I asked seeing that it wasn't a normal aircraft. It looked like a fan jet. Inside the wings were giant fans as well as in the back.
"We'll show you after we finish this whole plan." Charm said as she walked past me to go inside. Eager isn't she?
Vail motions me inside. I let out a breath before entering. I was shocked to see it was bigger inside than I expected it to be, granted I didn't expect much. I sat down in the back where there was three chairs smushed together. In front, there was two seats for the pilot and co-pilot. Fin was pilot and Charm was co-pilot. While Grey and Vail sat in the back with me. Any girl would probably be happy with two guys besides her, but when they have deadly weapons and don't even acknowledge you... The feeling dies.
"By the way," I piped up, "how did you keep this hidden all this time?"
"Camouflage." Grey said like it was a stupid question.
I was about to snap at him, but the aircraft shifted around. I gripped the closest arm to me and saw it was Vail's. He looked down at me and smiled. I quickly looked away and watched as we lifted off the ground, now we were in the dark sky.
I glanced down at my feet. I'm afraid that I'll die there without getting anything done. I'll just be immortal and I wonder if I'll ever live the life I wanted back in my world.
A voice breaks my thoughts of peril. I look at Vail. "What?"
"I said, it's going to be okay." Vail said softly apparently not wanting the others to hear.
"No it's not. Stop saying it's going to be okay because you know the stakes."
Instead of talking he just grabs my hand, which made me flinch. He still didn't say anything as he gently kissed it quickly then let go. My hand fell limp on my lap. "I know the stakes, but I also know that you are still doing it." He whispered in my ear. Every word tickled my skin.
"Y-yeah..." I said softly.
Vail smiled and I felt my heart jump into my throat. His smile could tell a thousand words without even moving his lips. He just needs to smile and it could fill the silence with words unspoken.
The aircraft slowly started to descend and I'm all nerves again. "You'll have to walk the rest of the way. Also, take this." Grey said and gave me a crystal sort of thing.
"What's this?" I ask.
"It's a shard when Emerald was looking for it. Turns out, past mirror searchers shards help finding current ones. But, don't let anyone know you have it." Grey says.
I nodded and felt the aircraft shake as they make it to the floor. I let out a breath and look over at Vail who smiles again. I turn away and slowly get out. Once I make it the floor it feels weird under my feet despite me not being in the air that long. I look back in where Charm is. She nods to me and flys back up. The wind makes me very worn and crazy hair fly everywhere as they leave. Then, silence.
My trek turns out to be longer than I had hoped. My feet were still hurting from the time I ran, this wasn't doing any good as well. When, I finally made it my heart seemed to plummet to my stomach. There are several guards standing in front of the doors.
Will they believe the story? Will they just kill me? Despite my many words of encouragement, I know there's a more likely chance I'm screwed as I walk up to the guards. They all seemed as tense as I am though.
