The cursed way (Highschool dxd x OC)

Chapter 5

Steve casually walked towards the warehouse, unsure what to expect.

All of a sudden, he felt himself blasted with cursed energy, to be precise, a technique that caused disorientation and dizziness.

'So this is what he was talking about,' he thought as he turned to Artoria and Koneko, whose eyes were unfocused and stopped in their places.

Steve quickly counteracted the effects by using his own cursed energy on them, bringing them out of their stupor.

"Huh? What happened?" asked Artoria, confused as she couldn't recount why she stopped.

"A cursed energy-induced hypnosis. Put up your guards, both of you. This will only get more interesting," Steve muttered with a smile.

"Threat detected. Engage Defence. Analysis: 1%," a voice rang through the air before turrets sprang out of the ground, launching missiles towards Steve.

He raised his eyebrows curiously as they stopped right in front of him, while Koneko and Artoria dodged them.

"Hm... these are laced with cursed energy," he noted and the next moment they burst in his face.

"STEVE!" both the girls yelled, concerned, only for the smoke to clear and see him unharmed.

"Calm down ladies, it can't touch me yet," Steve said preparing a Reversal Red and firing it at a turret.

It however didn't hit the mark as a shield popped up blocking the attack.

"Hm..."

Steve quickly disappeared and reappeared in front of the turret and before it had time to even register, he had blown it apart using a Reversal red.

For the other turret, Artoria had used her Invisible air skill to disappear and destroy it.

"Offence compromised. Engaging Automatons. Analysis: 12%"

All of a sudden, two giant floating hands, a Traffic light-like robot, and a humanoid robot with Chainsaw hands came out of the warehouse doors.

"The hell are those things?" asked Koneko as one of the floating hands shot towards her. She narrowly dodged it, but it shot a purple laser at her and Artoria.

Artoria quickly used her sword to deflect the lasers, and Koneko ran towards the robot and punched it hard, sending it back flying. Steve quickly looked around, clicking his tongue.

"Lapse blue," he muttered as a blue ball materialized pulling everything together.

The robots were sucked by it, but weirdly enough, they weren't destroyed easily.

"Analysis: 27%"

The chainsaw robot shot towards Steve, who was focusing on others, knowing he couldn't get past his Infinity.

But at the last second, he felt a spike of Cursed energy, making his eyes widen.

'Shit...'

"ART, KONEKO, BE READY TO DESTROY THE ROBOTS!" he yelled, confusing them, though they powered up.

Steve held his attack long enough for them to prepare their attacks as Koneko covered her fist in Ki and Artoria's sword was covered with Mana.

"NOW!" yelled Steve releasing his technique. Within a split second, Koneko punched the robots, nearly crushing them, and then Artoria released a Mana blast, piercing almost all of them, except the Traffic light one, which somehow survived the attack.

As for Steve, he jumped backwards but was nicked by the Chainsaw of the robot, his torso bleeding.

In the tunnel, Starlord was leading the way as they used a device that looked like a drone to dig the ground towards the facility.
