𝟎𝟏 || 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

There were many supernatural creatures in the world, and Annamarie Grimm just so happened to be one of them. She was a rare hybrid. The blood of an animal shifter and the blood of a witch ran through her veins. Her mother was a rare animal shifter while her father was a warlock. Which Anna had discovered that she had both genes, and that they were very awake, not dormant.

Which caused many to want Anna for her power. Anna was kept hidden though by her parents. Who loved her dearly. Both were there for her through everything. That is until they were found by a coven of witches when Anna was ten. They wanted to have the power that Anna possessed, and they wanted it no matter what.

That fateful day Anna had shifted for the first time being that she was feeling intense emotions. With all that was happening. Being scared, angry, and confused. But she soon also lost her father by the hands of the witch coven. He had tried his hardest to protect his wife and Anna.

He was doing well defending them. Until while doing so he had a curse placed upon him. Which caused him to lose his life. That night Anna and her mother hid. But after the witches left, they came back to find her father dead. They then grieved for their loss. They soon were packing their things and began to run and ran far away. Keeping to the woods and forest. Not going in public much. Which Anna didn't like much but understood why.

Anna had soon grown up to be taught by her mother that she was different and special. But also, to take pride in who she was. Which Anna did. But with trouble at times. Anna was always the weird one. The one who was very different from everyone else. Much like her mother. She thought of things differently. She looked at the world differently. She was just different. Her mother told her she was special for being different, and to never change.

Her mother also taught her the way of animal shifters. Which were very different from many people's beliefs. They had various customs and were different with the way they thought. Anna's mother tried to teach her daughter things that her father taught her. But she found it hard. So, she kept teaching Anna the way of the shifters, and things that she could remember from her wonderful husband. Who she missed dearly.

Another thing she had trouble with was Anna's magic. She tried to help Anna with her magic as much as she could but found it difficult. But tried her best. Using her husband's many grimoires as guidance. Which helped tremendously. It was hard but the two managed. Taking time to go over things together in the grimoire, and Anna performing spells under her mother's watchful eyes.

Once Anna had control over her magic though, she found herself powerful. But Anna's mother taught her to be humble, and selfless. Which Anna took to heart. She found herself helping her mother, and the animals that lived around them. Trying her hardest to make her mother proud. Which she did every time.

But as Anna grew older, she felt a hollow feeling in her chest. It grew larger and vast as she grew older. Anna didn't know what this feeling meant. But as she grew Anna wanted to start exploring the world. Anna thought that if she could explore the world, maybe just maybe she would be able to find the solution. The answer to why she was feeling such a thing, and what it meant.

After coming to the conclusion Anna had sat her mother down. She explained to her everything. The feeling she had her desire to explore... everything. Anna's mother listened to everything that she had to say. She was hesitant but granted her daughter the support she so desperately wanted. A week later Anna was saying her goodbye to her mother. She was then on her way to explore and to find answers.

Anna was exploring the world for about a year on her own. Using the little money, she had from her mother, and doing odd jobs to gain more. Also living in her animal forms when she got too overwhelmed.
