After all students gathered at Beacon Cliff, the headmaster awaited them.
"For years you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest."
"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... Today" Glynda continued
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next 4 years." As Jaune was beside Ruby, he heard hear complain almost every sentence the headmaster said.
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die. You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene.
You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one, and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?" Ozpin asked.
Seeing as no one wanted to say anything, he resumed his talking. "Good! Now, take your positions."
Jaune, as well as all the other students, were standing in some sort of platforms, which launched all of them one by one into the forest.
Before Jaune's turn however, he saw a window being displayed in front of him.

He had finally gotten another quest after so long! This was perfect for him!
After accepting the quest, he was launched into the air. Jaune thrashed a bit in the air, due to the suddenness of the action, but he then could stabilize his descent.
As he fell, Jaune looked around and saw Pyrrha into the distance. She was probably one of the best options to partner with, so after landing, he decided to head into the direction he last saw her.
As Jaune walked, he encountered a Beowolf. Staring into each other, the Beowolf took the initiative by striking at him with its left paw. Jaune raised his shield, holding the paw in place, and then slashed at the now unguarded stomach of the his opponent.
As the creature reeled back from pain, it then lunged at Jaune. In response, he moved to his left, evading the attack. He then rushed to the Beowolf, thrusting his sword into its neck. After this, it came crashing down, having effectively died.
"Nice one" He suddenly heard. Turning around, he saw it was Pyrrha who said it. "Thank you. It's nice seeing you again."
"I think the same" She said as we smiled.
