Chapter 37: Exo-atmospheric Flight

[Overseer Chambers / One week later]

Amanda and Rexus have finally finished training with the fighters after days of practice, now Rexus for the first time ever, he became the very first Haroxian in all Haxaria to become the first pilot of a ship while Amanda is a Haroxian now, she basically had knowledge how to fly ships back when she was human. Amanda has a crazy idea to test the new fighter engines to its might and by that she means...

Cyresa: (Arms crossed with a serious look) You are not thinking of doing that!

Amanda: I am! I want to test the full speed of those fighters! and I plan to head to stratosphere and see how fast i can go!

Rexus: Love! are you sure it is safe??

Amanda: There's going to be risk i know but we must test the engines because im pretty sure there's going to be a point where we will be fighting in space eventually and i want that this race to be prepare! So im going to get suited and get my ship ready!

Rexus: Amanda! im incline to disagree with this idea! you dont know if this dangerous!

Amanda: Rexus my love, you are speaking with a pilot that flew starships before and i mean... actual starships! I already know how to fly these ships. So let me do my thing.

Cyresa: Rexus, let her be... she actually says something really important when it comes to test these fighters. Let her see how fast these things can go.

Rexus: (Sighed) Okay fine.. but promise me you will come back in one piece.

Amanda: Rexus, i will. Now i need to get going. Get that ship ready Cyre.

Cyresa: Ill work on it, get your flight suit.

After days of work since they were in training, they manage to make flight suits for the Haroxian Kind, one thing for sure is that in the arms part they have to trim or clip their wing feathers so its easy for them to feet that suit inside in their arms. Amanda also designed special gloves that cover their claws and hers so its easy for them to manage control panels and other holographic devices without their claws getting on the way from not recognizing their finger print. and for the legs and feet she also designed special boots for the Haroxian and a device to cover their curve claw and that device can attach itself to the suit perfectly. Not only that but she is also working on a special armor design for Haroxians that looks extremely futuristic and in the arms where they have their wing feathers, Theye'll have energy shields that can use to cover themselves from incoming enemy fire and can use that shield to take cover while they continue shooting with any small weapon. This technology are a mix between Xantarian and Human combined since she is using all her knowledge about technology and physics or engineering.

After a few minutes since the drones helped Amanda get her suit, she is walking in the hangar and heading to her fighter that is currently standing in a pad and it has its wings retracted.

Rexus: Its weird you dont have your wings....

Amanda: Don't worry about them... they'll grow back and plus... y'all told me already that Haroxian's wing arms grows quite fast in a matter of weeks!

Cyresa: We do, but we barely clip our wings.

Rexus: Are you ready to test that suit and your ship?

Amanda: I'm all ready... (Looks at Cyresa) How's the ship?

Cyresa: Drones have already inspected it and refueled your ship. You may depart when ready.

She is heading valiantly to her ship, and she is climbing to the ladder and heading to the cockpit of her ship. It opens side ways and she enters and proceed to sit on the chair as she has to laid down, once she is ready, a component went to her back and kept her body secure. She can see in the window all around her and below her on her front, theres three monitors. Center one is the radar where she can see targets that the ship is detecting, left monitor is the ship analogs where it gives report of shield damage and hull integrity and it shows her ship icon and the right monitor is the speed and power distribution monitor and also shows some of her weapons that she is carrying. Once she is settled, she presses the green button to power the ship up. But there's something that she wasn't expecting, is the AI that spoke to her.
