Chapter 26: A Marriage

Karxilia City / One week later

There's a major ceremony all in Harxarian Empire as millions gathers around in one path and sees Rexus and Amanda finally in a marriage ceremony. They are walking among the streets together; Amanda is wearing some beautiful white clothing's covering her around while Rexus is wearing mostly his golden armor still. Haroxians clothing is quite different than Human ones, but Haroxian clothing's are quite uniformed and sophisticated and even quite fancy. They continue walking and from behind them, there's Saria and Alaria walking with them from behind.

Amanda: (While people cheer at them) To think this day will ever come.

Rexus: I'm so happy it finally arrived!

Amanda: Well, I know we told Falyria this should be a fast wedding because we are on a rush.

Rexus: Yes, she knows, this wedding is not going to last for the entire day. Once she declares us wife and husband, it should be done.

Amanda: Yes, because I have some projects going on for the war.

Rexus: Any new techs you all researching my love?

Amanda: We do, new pistols and sniper rifles.

Rexus: Sniper rifles?? what are they??

Amanda: Long range kinetic weapons, another human type of weapon. It would be very useful.

Rexus: So, what exactly it does?

Amanda: You can kill enemies hundreds of meters away or even miles.

Rexus: I would love to see that!

They are arriving at the Pyramid Palace and there's Princess Gladyr with Verdin and Empress Falyria in the middle.

Amanda: This is it!

They now stopped in front of her.

Empress Falyria: (People stopped cheering and there's silence, she looks at them) I know you two wanted this wedding to be quick, and I truly understand it. so, let's make this real quick. Rexus, would you accept Amanda as your wife and promise and swear that you will love her and protect her forever?

Rexus: I do!

Empress Falyria: Amanda, do you accept Rexus as your husband and promise and swear that you will love him and protect him forever?

Amanda: I do!

Empress Falyria: A new historic chapter has marked in our nation where one of our kind married with an outsider visitor and thus turned into one of us for the first time ever in our history! I declare you husband and wife! you may kiss!

They proceed to kiss the way Haroxians do, and everyone cheered aloud and many Raxarians roared aloud. Verdin and Gladyr are smiling but she asks Falyria.

Princess Gladyr: Mother.... why this wedding was short?

Empress Falyria: Because they asked me to make this quick. Amanda has really important projects going on and new weapons her and her team of scientists are researching.

Verdin: Is it??

Empress Falyria: Yes, and besides.... I've already seen them wife and husband from the moment she turned into a Haroxian. I knew they love like they are married.

Amanda: (Finishing kissing Rexus and looks at Falyria) I know you all wanted a long party but, the amount of stuff im working on is urgent for the war.

Empress Falyria: I know Amanda and i understand it. We are so proud of you two! (Looking at the public) Thanks for everyone who came in! i know this ceremony was a short one but my friends here have work to do for the war and for our nation! Everyone dismisses.

Everyone is now leaving, Amanda and Rexus remained by themselves alone and then Rexus decides to tell her something about something he has never shared to anyone in his life.

Rexus: (Looks at Saria and Alaria) Hey, would you two give us a moment alone?

Alaria: Sure my friend! this is y'all day after all!

Saria: We will be at Red Pyramid if you need us!

Rexus: Great! thank you girls!

Saria and Alaria are leaving them and walking away from them.

Rexus: (Everyone is leaving and looks at Amanda) You know... I never asked you about this but...

Amanda: What is it?

Rexus: I was thinking before we head back to work, I want to present you my mother...

Amanda: You had a mother?

Rexus: I did.... I lied all my friends about my mother that she died but in reality.... she didn't.

Amanda: Why? I know you told me your mother died.

Rexus: (Looks around and they are all alone and away from crowd) (Looks again at her) I have good reasons why i said she died as a lie.... No, my mother is alive and well. The reason why i lied about her death is because she has an international execution warrant...

Amanda: Wait, whats that???

Rexus: She's one of the most wanted persons in all Haxaria, and she has a huge bounty on her head, and everyone wants her dead. Mother used to be a criminal way before and she was one of the main protagonists of the Black Wind Crisis and served as a lieutenant from one of the pirates' fleets, she was part in many genocides and war crimes. (Looking around) I'm talking low because i dont want anyone to know this or ill be interrogated by Falyria or Gladyr.

Amanda: And you never dared to confess them that your mom is well alive?

Rexus: (Angry low tone) Amanda my love!! she's my mother!! I can't turn her like that! I love her still!!

Amanda: Okay I know! I didn't mean like that! i was just concerned and i was asking! so she lives on seclusion by herself?

Rexus: She does.. on a very remote area all by herself. I want to present you to her but remember.... this stays in between us, all you need to know she regrets her decision which is why she wanted me to leave her on seclusion until she dies from old age but told me she will love me no matter what. You can't tell ANYONE about this that my mother is alive.... Understood?

Amanda: Rexus my love, since when i broke a promise with you?

Rexus: Just making sure i dont want you to tell Falyria or Gladyr or anyone about this.

Amanda: Rexus i wont. I would very much to meet her! show me!

Rexus: We will be travelling for like 2 days walking on land. could your projects wait for a little longer?

Amanda: They can wait surely.

Rexus: Then follow me.

Rexus grabbed Amanda with her hand and is walking with her as they will be away from the city.
