Emily...

She slumped tiredly on the chair as she tried to catch her breath.

Ashley and Kira didn't seem fazed at the fact that they had just gone to five different malls in ninety minutes.

Emily wasn't able to get her mind off the fact that she was going to get engaged to a guy she barely knew until she came to a fact that it was just an engagement party not a wedding ceremony.

She could do this but that resolve dissolved almost immediately when sex sounds blared out.

Ashley gave a sheepish smile to both Kira and Emily before pressing the answer button.

"Hey Will" Ashley said before keeping quiet for a while causing Emily to wring her palms as nervousness ran up and down her spine.

Ashley glanced at Emily with a small smile making Emily narrow her eyes at Ashley.

"Okay Will, love you bye!!!"

Ashley sighed before returning her phone back into her pocket as she stared off with a dreamy look.

"What's going on?" Kira asked beating Emily to it.

Ashley stared at Emily with a small smile gracing her perfect lips, "Everything is ready"

Everything was ready except for the fianceé.

*********

Emily...

"So how do you feel about getting married?" Ashley questioned as soon as the cab took off.

"Married?" Emily managed to squeak as nervousness drowned her system.

"Engagement according to us is like marriage" Kira explained with a sigh.

"It's not like marriage. It is marriage" Ashley said making Emily scrunch her eyebrows in confusion.

"What?"

Ashley rolled her eyes," Being soulmates is like being married so we find our other half and just get engaged for legal reasons, doesn't mean much to us at all. We don't do that walking down the aisle shit and every other wedding shit. It's just like a party"

Emily's heart broke when she heard this.

Those wedding shit she always dreamt of doing with her soulmate and yet it's being thrown on her face as actual shit.

She could feel tears rise but she blinked them back.

She didn't want to feel lesser than she already felt especially when she was with them.

The cab came to a stop and Emily found herself standing in front of the pack house.

The setting sun casted an orangish glow down on their path though the werewolves wouldn't need it to see.

Emily wiped her hands on her jeans before coming face to face with Kira who gave her a small smile.

She closed her eyes and touched the door knob.

This was her family now.

This were the only people who would love her unconditionally.

The wedding she was going to be attending as the bride or fianceé wasn't what she always dreamt of but everything in her life that had always happened had never been her dream.

In fact none of her dreams had ever become a reality so this wasn't the first event that had ever happened that wasn't her dream.

With another deep breath, she turned the door knob and stepped in to the dimly lit room.
