Chapter 2

*Dani p.o.v.*
Once I got home I ran up to Brandons room and knocked on the door he quickly opened it. "what up Dan?" "Hayes tried talking to me again today" he rolled his eyes "how many times do I have to tell him to screw off?!" I shrugged "when are mom and dad coming home from their trip?" "In about a week or so" "m'kay." I stepped out of his room and went downstairs to make dinner

*the next day*
I walked to the music room and sat in my usual spot and pulled out my guitar. "heyy cutie" I felt someone playing with my hair "heyy Aaron" I laughed "I got you something" I looked at him, he handed me a tiny red box, I took the top off and it was a black guitar pick with gold lettering that said Dani. "Aaron thank you!" I hugged him. "ok class we have a new student playing on drums, Hayes introduce yourself!"

I immediately rolled my eyes are you serious? And walked out the door.

*Hayes p.o.v.*
I walked into my new class and immediately saw Dani but she was talking to that Aaron guy. the whole reason I wanted to join this class was to get closer to her I watched her talk to him then he handed her a little red box she opened it and hugged him, and smiled I miss her beautiful smile, "Hayes!" someone interrupted my thoughts it was the teacher "This is Hayes the new drummer" Dani looked up and ran out the room with Aaron running after her.

*Dani p.o.v.*
I quickly sat down on a bench next to a huge tree. Aaron sat next to me "what's up?" "Does he really have to ruin everything that makes me happy? I just need him to leave me alone! I don't want anything to do with him! He's making this 100 times worse than it should be"

"do you want to tell me what happened between you two? You don't have to if you don't want to." "To sum it all up I fell in love with him, he cheated on me, I fell in love again and trusted him, he cheated on me again, now I feel like I'm gonna be stuck in this constant loop forever, he's the reason I don't trust anyone but you and my brother he took away my ability to trust anyone" he held me tight in his arms "I'm here for you Dani"

"I promise I will not let anyone hurt you. now let's go back to class and show Hayes that you don't want or need him anymore" I kissed his cheek "thank you" I whispered. we walked back to class and sat down. "now that everyone is situated!!!, we are doing duets this week" Aaron and I immediately made eye contact "so everyone partner up!" I skooted closer to Aaron and smiled at him. In the corner of my eye I saw Hayes looking at us.

"now decide which song you guys want to duet on!". "you can choose." "You sure?" "Yeah" "how about let her go by passenger?" "I love that song" I laughed

"now go practice!" we sat in the back of the room and went over the lyrics. "you're a really good singer, almost better than me" I laughed he poked me in the rib and flicked me on the forehead "what do you mean ALMOST!" "oww that hurt Aaron!" I pushed his finger away. Once the bell rang I hugged Aaron and walked to my car.

"hey Dani" I turned around it was Hayes's friend Daniel. "hi" "so are you and Aaron dating?" "No why?" "I think you know why Dani" "can you please tell him to leave me alone?! I want nothing to do with Hayes" "ok I'll tell him, oh and Dani when a guy picks on you that means he likes you" he said walking away.
