You were about to land in Tokyo and you already felt homesick. You hadn't anticipated that you would get like this. You weren't emotionless or anything of the sort, but you didn't let them seep into your actions often. You were eager for this, but uncertainty washed over you. 'Oh well, it's too late now... I'll be fine!' You reassured yourself as an almost robotic voice advised the passengers. "We will now be landing in Tokyo, Japan shortly! Please put on your belts and prepare for landing! Thank you!" You then noticed the belt light flashing to signal passengers if they somehow failed to hear the directions.

You had just landed not too long ago, and you already felt at ease. Any uncertainty completely dispersed into sheer excitement. Although this was your birthplace, you never had the chance to visit.. So this was a lot for you to take in. 'It's so beautiful!' You said to your awestruck self. "Shoot! The Sun is getting lower, I better check into the girls dorms before it gets dark out." You followed the directions on your phone gps. It honestly scared you at how dependent you were on that thing. You reached the college dorms with ease, and checked in just as smoothly. Thanks to your father keeping you in touch with your roots by having you learn Japanese along with English at a young age, you were fluent. Which aided you very much. You got to the dorm room and knocked gently, 'I hope my room mate doesn't mind late night music studying...' You silently thought to yourself as you awaited a response. "Come in!!" A rather energetic voice called out... 'Wow, ok then.' "Hello! I'm (l/n) (f/n) and I hope we get along well!" You introduced trying to sound warm. And maybe it worked a little too well because you were greeted with a bear hug instead. "Ahh this is going to be great! I like you already!" The girl cried out. [a/n: imagine a female version of Hide basically, personality wise at least. This is a randomly made up character.] You were dumbfounded as it wasn't usual at all to greet this way, "U-um i can't breathe" you struggled under her grip. "Ehhh! I'm so sorry! How rude of me! I'm Tsunemori Miyu! But call me Miyu! I apologize for that earlier.. It's just you were so cute and sweet I couldn't help it!" She pleaded. 'Well, seems I won't have to try hard at least', you giggled, "It's fine! You just caught me off guard is all. And you can just call me (y/n) as well!" You said sincerely. Big mistake on your part because Miyu ran at you and tackled you again. "Umph!" You breathed out as you hit the floor. "So cuuuuute!" You didn't even bother to struggle, you just weakly hugged her back as well. 'This really will be an interesting chapter in my life'
//Time skip to next day//
Since it was a Saturday, Miyu happily offered to show you around your new campus. Well, more like demanded that she show you the school. You obliged nonetheless, besides, you wanted to get acquainted as quickly as possible. To get ready you quickly showered, 'wow this is a new record! Mom would be proud... But I never even took that long of showers. She just over exaggerated. Yeah.' You smiled at the thought along with the memories that came with it. You then only applied mascara to your thick and long lashes which complimented your (e/c) eyes beautifully. You didn't wear face makeup often, plus your skin was being very cooperative today too...'so smooth' you say to yourself as you excessively rub your cheek in awe. Turns out you accidentally said it aloud."I agree!" You felt a hand on your left cheek and you nearly punched Miyu. Mind you that you were only in your towel after all. "Miyu! What the hell!?" You said exasperatedly, your heart beat steadily increased. She giggled shyly, "ah sorry (y/n)-Chan! It's just you were quiet and taking long so I came to check on you... And I noticed you feeling your cheek and you said it was soft so I had too! I love soft things, small things, and cute things!" She was honestly too much for you, but you enjoyed her odd company. "Just let me finish." you say smiling while pinching the bridge of your nose.

You were out of the dorms and wondering about around the campus. You opted for a light gray top, cream cardigan, maroon shorts, and high top white converse. You liked the cozy-cute look when you were lazy. You actually hadn't even toured the campus due to your roommate running off to chase some other student who was giving out flower shaped cookies. 'Tch, she's the one who planned this. Oh Miyu, what am I gonna do with a roommate like you?' You couldn't help but giggle at her behavior. She was scarily and hugely attracted to cute things. You shrugged it off as you sat waiting on a bench under a particularly pretty cherry blossom tree. After sighing, you decided to roam the campus on your own. 'Where to start' you mumbled as you walked off.

"Dammit! Miyu, this wouldn't have happened if you just stuck with me!" You were lost in the rather large campus. And there were few people out so asking for help was useless. You wandered into a building that had a lot of aligned rooms it seemed. 'Hmm, that's strange. This resembles the girls dorms..' You thought as you strolled, oblivious to the fact that you stumbled into the boys' dorm. Your eyes widen in realization. You were probably too busy walking quickly out of there and cursing at yourself to notice you were to run into a white haired male.
"Ouch." You said after falling. 'Oh no I bumped into someone.' "I'm so sorry! I should've watched where I was going!" You apologized while Bowing only to hear no response in return. So you slowly rose and your (e/c) eyes met with gray ones. You gazed at the white haired boy, studying him, he was pretty cute. But your cheeks slightly turned pink as you realized you were both staring without a word. "Um-" "I'm Kaneki. Ken Kaneki. And it's alright" he cut you off with a forced looking smile. You frowned, you hated it when you caught things like that. "Something the matter? Are you alright?" He asked. "Huh?... Oh right, yes I'm fine thanks. And I'm (l/n) (f/n), sorry to meet like this." You sounded as embarrassed as you were. He lightly chuckled though. "You're a new student I assume?" Your eyes probably bulged out, "Yeah.. How'd you know that though?!" You asked hesitantly. "It wasn't hard to assume when you looked so lost" he replied bluntly. "Right.. Well sorry again but I need to get back. Nice meeting you!" You rushed off but not before flashing a shy smile and quick wave. You were probably still too embarrassed and out of it to really be sure, but you thought you could faintly make out pink on his cheeks as you left. 'No. Just me.' You thought.

You found your way back to the dorms quite easily to your surprise, not that you weren't proud. Only to find Miyu sitting on her bed happily, with a literal tray of flower shaped cookies on her lap while flipping through a magazine. 'Sheesh, I swear this girl...' "Oi! Forget something much Miyu?!" You said in a pouty yet annoyed tone. Her face darkened and she ran to you with a cookie still in her mouth. "Oh (y/n)-chan imfgh so sorry-phm" she said struggling to finish her cookie while hugging you. You couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah yeah, now I get to practice my music without complaints tonight!" You say evilly. Her face drooped. "But why!-" "That's why you shouldn't leave your new roommate all alone in the campus to get through an awkward situation!" You said quite happy with the turn out. "Fineeee. But what happened?!" She easily averted her attention while chomping on another cookie. "I quite literally ran into a boy.." "Oooohphdsf!" You heard muffled crunching and then a gulp, "sorry..." She muttered. "He seemed reserved. He had white hair and grey eyes and wore a lot of black." You spaced out in remembrance. "Hmm? I never met anyone like that here? Do you think you'll meet again?!" She sounded so much like a child, you smiled. "I don't know, but I wouldn't mind if I did..." You quietly said the last part so she couldn't hear.

It was about eight o' clock-ish when you began your piano practice. You were working on a new piece after getting inspired by your own recent painting. It expressed your emotions, the art and music. It was vibrant and wild to show your adventure. With hidden parts that were dark and polar opposite in comparison to the rest of the works. Which signified your uneasiness and how you were scared. You were in the zone, until you heard the news talk about a ghoul attack in the 20th ward.That's right... There were a lot more ghoul occurrences here in Tokyo compared to the states back home. You remember your father urging you to not walk alone late, and to always be on alert. Apart from the fact that you were in a whole other country, your parents only other worry was you being attacked by a ghoul. It hadn't really crossed your mind much. You wouldn't let it ruin your new start. For some odd reason, you felt like ghouls were pretty much identical to us. The only differences being their strength and overall athletic ability, and how they eat.. Us. You felt bad when you thought about there being innocent ghouls, and then losing their families. It's not like they have a choice, they need us to survive. Just like we need animals to live too. And we never stopped just cause. So why do so many expect them to do that? Ironically, you thought it was because it was for the fact that we are so similar to them, that that's why it seemed so much more worse to kill us than when we kill animals. And yet they treat them so differently... 'That's enough depth for today (y/n). You're getting off track. You seriously need to look for a job now..'
And you later fell asleep with your last thought being a certain white haired male.
