Chapter Four- Its Our Faults

••the next morning ••
"Emma were going home they discharged you." Okay what time does the benefit start? "It starts at ten and its eight-twenty-seven and we have to get home so you can get ready Faiths still at home she is so sad but she said she would still go."

Okay. Let's go I got my stuff ready last night so I'm ready. I'm ready to get out of here. "I know but you forgot to call your dad last night." Oh yeah I did that on purpose I didn't feel like it. "Emma he was worried sick!" You won't worried sick when I was up stairs in the.... "What" Nothing. "Let's go."
••At the benefit••
"Emma I don't think I can do this" Do what? "What if they blame it on us?" They won't I promise. "Okay let's go.wait why are there reporters here" no idea. Just play cool. "Emma Emma is it true you let the two girls die?""Emma is it true you started the fire?" No now leave us alone. "Hi girls" hi miss hitch "Girls you know how I'm Lilly's mom right?" Yeah why? "I deserve to know did you Emma start the fire or leave them on purpose?" Why would I do that I'm her and Hayley's best friend! "Well there's a cop out side right know coming to get you YOI DID THIS I KNOW IT." Wait what?

"You have the right to remain silent. If you do say anything it can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to consult with a lawyer and have that lawyer present during any questioning . If you can not afford a lawyer one will be appointed for you if you so desire." Wait I did nothing! "Faith run now! "Okay!"
••at the police station••
"I'm going to ask you a couple questions" Okay what? "Did you or did you not start the house fire?" Why would I do that there my best friends and how would i do it they would of heard and plus my window was broken when I got up. "Okay question two what happened the day of this account?" Well we were at Lilly's house and it was 9;00 I think we all stopped by the bakery and got two sugar cookies and two chocolate chip cookies and four cups of tea. Then me and Lilly raced to the house we all went to bed because we were all tired. Then my mom started yelling at us too get up. I was really worried about my little sisters so me and faith got up and went to get them..we did wake Lilly and Hayley up because I remember Lilly said what's going on and I answered a fire run get out. But after we got the twins out (well Faith and the twins got out) then I tried to get them out by telling them to jump out the window but Lilly just kept screaming for help she said I can't i can't. A fire fighter then grabbed me and took me out. That's all I remember.

"Okay why did you not open the door to your bedroom" well when this was all happening I ran out off my door really fast after faith did so I think the door closed. It had always done this when I would open it really fast. But when I came back to the door some wood fell from the roof that was on fire and it blocked the door.

"By any chance did Faith do it?" No she was there best friend too when I got up she was still sound asleep I had to yell to get here up and besides Lilly has never hurt anyone.

"Why did your mom not come upstairs and help you?" I have no clue, she panicked she was never good under pressure plus I have 3 year old brothers in the basement that needed help,

"Is there anybody that you think I could've done this?" No not really we never had many enemies and if we did they were not that bad of enemies. I always made friends easy I was never mean I never bulled any body.

"Okay thanks you can go home now your moms outside to get you." Okay thanks.

"Emma are you okay what happened?" Lilly's mom called the cops on me she thanks I did it. I told Faith to run but she got cought they are questioning her now to see if our story's fit up. "Did you tell the truth." Yeah it's not like I did it so I have nothing to worry about right? "Right, and I know you would never do such a thing. I got a call from Hayley's parents there coming over tomorrow to see how we're doing." Okay can see Cassy and Caitlin and bobby's when I get home? "Yeah and Ant. Rose is watching them while we are here." Okay.

••A while later••
"Emma they blamed me did they blame you too?" Yeah and it's okay come on we are going to the house. "Thanks so much Ms.Ravine for giving me a house to live in I still can not believe that my parents died." "Faith were family now family's stick together through what ever happeneds and call me mom if you would like or Linda." "Okay thanks." "Anytime dear."
