"Traffic!" Lightblox cheered out as she sprinted to the front door and slammed into the traveler demon, knocking the wind out of him as her helmet slammed into his stomach. Traffic wheezed out in pain, but returned the affection back with a slight pat to the head.

"Wuh up, Lil Bug! You been good, right?" Traffic grabbed Lightblox from under her arms and hoisted her so she could be at eye level. He had been gone for about three weeks, sneaking onto buses and hitchhiking along highways. He might of nearly gotten into trouble a few times, but at least he wasn't dead.

Lightblox began to look around him, trying to find something. "Wuh is it? Ya lookin for somethin'?" Traffic asked, grinning. "You always bring me a souvenir, where is it?" Lightblox asked, curious as to what Traffic got her this time.

Pursing his lips and taking in an awkward breath of air, Traffic gave the bad news, "Sorry, little bug. Saw nuttin' good while I was off traveling the factions." Lightblox whimpered and looked down, tears pricking at her eyes.

"Well, except for this," Traffic grinned as he reached behind him and pulled out a lumpy rock. Lightblox immediately knew what it was and squealed, snagging it and rolling it around in her hands.

"Go smash it outside, ya broke the floor last time you threwed it in here," Traffic put her down and nudged her towards the door. Lightblox hurried outside and began to chuck it on the ground.

Traffic shook his head in amusement and turned away in time to be nearly scared half to death by Ghosdeeri standing menacingly in front of him. "Deeri! Woo, ya sure move quiet. Wha up, homie?" Traffic tried to dab her up, but Ghosdeeri was not amused by it.

"Yes... what is.. up?" she confusingly greeted him before continuing on. "You were gone longer than expected," Ghosdeeri confronted, her staff making a gentle "click" as it was rested on the floor while in its owner's grasp.

Traffic shrugged and chuckled, "Ya know me, Deeri! Always workin and makin' dat-" He was cut off as Ghosdeeri raised her hand to stop. "This is the fifth time now you've told Lightblox how long you'll be gone and then show up days after that set timeline," she scolded.

An awkward grin went across Traffic's face as he scratched at the back of his neck, "Come on, Deeri! Ya know how it gets! Real busay and wha not. Is a one man team at da place!"

Ghosdeeri squinted at him, not buying his excuses at all. Traffic had promised to return in a weeks time, but it had been nearly three weeks instead.

Lightblox had been waiting each day, hoping he would come home early, or even at all. It made her cry each time when he didn't return, making the child worry for her adoptive older brother. She knew he was being risky and so she would think the worst had happened.

It took countless times of Ghosdeeri consoling her and telling her he was fine that would finally get her to dry up her tears and to catch the fireflies that managed to escape.

Ghosdeeri needed a break. She absolutely loved Lightblox, don't get her wrong, but she needed a break from all this godmothering. With Traffic's much anticipated return, it was finally time for the roles to be switched.
