"Where the fuck are you?" Khari's ears cringed at the familiar screeching in his ear as he sat in his hotel room on the comfortable now made up bed.

"Im back at home." Khari sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I ugh got some shit i needed to see about."

"Like what Khari?" Mia asked with her face scrunched up as if he could her. Her boyfriend was supposed to come home after leaving with his teammates last night but he never showed up. Now he was telling her he went way back home where he was hundreds of miles away. She was livid.

Feeling like their was no need to lie to her he just spilled the beans. "Li dude i posted, my son."

There was a long pause causing Khari to take the phone from his ear to make sure she was still on the line.

"How old is he?"

"15."

"That's not your kid Khari, don't be so gullible this is not the first time some bitch tried to pin a baby on you." Mia spoke.

"Chick didn't even tell me. My moms slipped up and said some shit."

"Im calling Taylor." She said referring to his Agent before he heard the phone hang up on him.

Taylor was his agent who was also Mia's bestfriend. That was how the two met and Khari sometimes regretted it seeming that Mia always tried to talk to Taylor before he could. As if Mia was his Agent instead of Taylor and he hated it.

He instantly put his phone on dnd before he grabbed his keys and made his way out of the hotel to his car to make his way to his mother's house.

Making his way to ghost town he instantly pulled up to the house that he once called home. The familiarity of it caused chills to run down his spine as he watched the front door open and there stood his mother as if she was waiting on his arrival but honestly she had just saw his car pull up and walked outside to see if her eyes were deceiving her.

"Is that my baby?" She exclaimed with a big wide smile that she couldn't help but notice that he didn't return.

Making his way to his mother and locking his door he walked right past her and into the cozy home that had the heater blasting. "Dont come up in my motherfucking house without acknowledging me the fuck is wrong with you? Then lost your goddam mind you better find it before i do."

"You was okay with knowing you have a grandkid that you abandoned? That you let me abandoned?" Khari asked scrunching his face turning to face his mother.

"You had just left, you think i was gone let that bitch and her baby hold you back? You would have never made it to the nba if you'd had came back. I saved your motherfuckin life that what the fuck i did."

"You still the same." Khari scoffed. "You made that girl a single mother as a teen, you think that shit okay ma?"

"You not finna' come in my house about some shit from 15 years ago." She chuckled bitterly. "Where the fuck my lighter?" She mumbled as she started searching for her lighting.

"15 years, but i just found out when you called my phone on some stupid shit." He admitted. She looked at him with wide eyes once she realized she was the one who spilled the beans. She watched as her son eyed her full of judgement causing he to let out a breath.

"Im sorry." She lied.

"Only cause i found out. What type of evil shit are you really on?"

"Evil?" She asked before laughing obnoxiously. "I saved your fucking life and this the thanks i get?"

"Saved? you allowed me to be a fucking deadbeat is what you did."

"Well lemme guess, now you're about to be the daddy of the year. He's fucking 15 Khari you don't know how to handle that boy and he's not gonna' take you seriously."
