?: and who is that?

H: thats me and your auntie!
?: woahh, and here?

H: We went to rio de janeiro for a week!
?: where was i?
H: you werent here yet.
My daughter, inez got a little upset.
H: but im sure we will get to go with you someday.
I: okayy..
The twins started crying.
H: wait here, i have to shush the babies!
I: okay mommy!
Inez was patiently drawing by her table while i took care of aiden and sicilly.
I walked into the nursery, they were both laying in their cribs, but alejandro was standing over aiden, in attempt to shush him.
H: that was fast!
A: oh hey heather!
I picked up sicilly and bounced her up, singing her a lullaby.
A: i think they are hungry.
H: well courtney is almost done with the dinner! We will feed them at dinnertime.
A: okay then, im gonna go read in the living room.
H: im gonna go help courtney with the dinner. Can you get duncan to play with sicilly?
A: sure babe.
He kisses me on the forehead and picks up sicilly.
A: cmon cece-
H: cece?
A: little nickname!
H: cute.

Alejandro and i leave the nursery, i gently close the door behind me and come down to the kitchen.
Courtney is there, cooking a steak while the potatoes boil. I start making the gravy and cut up the brocoli.

H: hey court is there any formula?
C: yes! Picked it up on my way here!
H: the good kind?
C: duh!
She hands me a big pack of baby formula
H: ur a lifesaverrr!
C: ikr?
We both giggle.
C: ill go make the table, you mash the potatoes and get the chicken nuggets out of the air fryer!
H: did you buy the vegan burger?
C: yes its in the fridge!
H: thank youu!!
I set everything on the plates and sit down with everyone.
Alejandro is feeding cece while duncan is feeding aiden.
The girls are playing with eachother and me and court just talk.

I cant believe how far we have came. At first, i thought that my place is in buisness, but its here, with my loved ones. I never actually liked my job. I quit it and made my own clothing brand. Its extremely sucsessful and i have more time to spend with the kids. Alejandro is a stay at home dad. He sometimes writes poetry in his free time, its beautiful. I definetly have won the husband lottery.

We all sat at the couch, the kids were playing and we were drinking wine, laughing about our memories.
Before we knew it, it was already 10pm. The kids got put to bed by alejandro and we stayed up some more.
While i was talking with them, i realised.

This is all i have ever wanted.
