The next morning, at about 5 o clock, Erin quickly gathered his things and packed them into an old backpack he'd brought with him when he first came to Camp Half-Blood. He used a sizing spell to shrink his box of trinkets and used a creation spell to make more of his red and black clothes so he could change while he was out on the road. He also put the piece of the golden apple in a smaller pocket inside the large pocket in his backpack for safe keeping. Since he would need to sneak out without anyone knowing, he made sure to dress in all dark clothing and tucked his long curly hair into his hoodie. It was still rather dark outside, but there was some light in the sky coming from the horizon, tho not enough to consider it the morning yet. He went to the front of his cabin and stopped when he remembered that because his cabin was old, the stairs in the front were creaky. He quick cast a sound nullifying spell on them and slowly went one foot at a time down them. When his feet made it to the dirt trail, he moved the spell the his own feet so he wouldn't be heard quickly walking down the trail. He quickly made his way past the cabins and by the grand lodge. When he made it to the grand lodge, he stopped for a moment to look at it. He thought about Chiron. In his mind, he felt some tiny semblance of pity for him due to what he was about to do. After all, Chiron had spent these last years looking after him and making sure nothing bad happened to him, but Erin couldn't shake the fact that Chiron had taken things from him, held him back, and as a result had made him feel small. "I'm sorry old man, but I've got a job to do, and not even you can hold me back this time."
Erin quickly passed the grand lodge and made his way through the trees and on the trail that led to the front archway. When he'd made it to the area, he saw the half-bloods standing guard at the border. He looked at them, observed how they were standing and strategically positioned. There were about eight of them, four of them were from cabin Ares and four of them were from cabin Athena. Erin knew that even though he could use an invisibility spell to try and sneak past them, they were trained to detect any invisible force, even if there was no sound. Even the inkling of his presence there could give him away, and there was also the issue of the barrier around the camp from Thalia's tree. Erin decided he'd use the mind hex to trap them in dreams and make them fall unconscious. He discreetly brought his hands in front of him and used his magic to create an orb of combined spells and hexes to pull this stunt off. He positioned his hands with only his middle fingers fully curled in and his other ones slightly curved. He then started twitching his hands and his magic began swirling around his fingers and sparks began to softly spew off his hands. The swirls then turned to strands that went in between his hands and started forming and orb. Erin used his mind to channel the specific spells into the orb so he could use them simultaneously. He channeled in the invisibility spell, the sound nullifying spell, an undetectability spell, and a speed spell. When the orb was big enough, he brought his hands in front of him to hold the orb and thrust the orb into his body. The bright gold light seeped into him and turned to swirls that covered his body and turned him invisible. He then began moving toward the half-blood border guards.
Erin quickly appeared behind the first one who was a male in a sort of stop and go sequence, then quickly positioned his left hand with his first two fingers pointed out inches away from the male half-blood's left temple and the pink magic shot out and created the aura around his head while his eyes turned pink. Erin then used his right hand and positioned it with his middle and ring fingers curved inward and twitched them with the red magic and the chaos bolt shot out and entered the male half-blood's right temple. The pink aura disappeared as his eyes turned red and he fell unconscious on the ground, landing in an audible thud. The other half-blood guards looked to their right upon hearing the sound. They saw nothing in the darkness of the trees, but the did notice the half-blood guard on the end of the line wasn't there. Some of them began to go investigate what happened to them. Erin found this to be favorable for him as he could pick off the half-blood guards on the other end of the line and take care of the rest that we're heading to the unconscious half-blood guard. He quickly disappeared from the area and made his way over to the other end of the line. The half-blood guard on the other end seemed oblivious to what was happening, no doubt dozing off from being tired. Erin appeared behind him in the same fashion he'd appeared behind the first half-blood guard he took out. A quick flash of the pink aura around his head and a twitch of the hex and he was out like a light. Erin decided to use his magic to make him land safely on the ground on his back so he'd at least be somewhat comfortable while asleep. With four of the half-blood guards over at the first unconscious guard, Erin took his chance to take out the other two who were ten feet away from the four. He disappeared again and made his way to the two. He could see one of them was a girl from cabin Athena and the other one was a boy from cabin Ares. He could tell by the insignias on their shields and helmets. He suddenly found he'd have to be a little more careful taking out the one from cabin Athena, considering that the kids from cabin Athena were good at tactic and battle strategy. The one from cabin Ares would be no problem. As the boy from cabin Ares stopped in his place to quick glance around the area, he then became focused on the four half-blood guards huddled around the unconscious guard. Just as he became affixed on them, Erin appeared at his side and cast the pink aura on him and twitched the hex into his left temple. As he fell to the ground, the girl from cabin Athena heard the thud and looked over to see him knocked out. Erin quickly zoomed in front of her, his left hand to the side of her head casting the pink aura on her and his left hand gestures in front of her face and twitching the hex into her eyes. This happened within a second and she gasped as the hex was cast on her. She fell to her side on a patch of damp grass that concealed the sound of her thud from the remaining four half-blood guards. Erin looked over to the four half-blood guards. He examined how they were positioned as they were huddled around the unconscious guard and trying to get him to wake up. He then got an idea. This time, he wanted to test his ability with the hex by casting it on all four of them at the same time. He disappeared and slowly made his way to the spot the guards were at. As he came just ten feet away from them, he crouched behind a large bush that came up to his torso while he stood. Behind the bush, he began focusing the energy of the hex into an orb of his magic. He slowly twitched the magic into the orb in a soft manner, but as the energy began to feel more harsh and as though it had a bit of weight to it, he began twitching the energy in a harsher manner, his fingers more curled inward to allow him to manipulate the energy as it became stronger. The orb became more erratic and the energy seemed to become almost electric as strands of it shot out of it. When the orb was big enough and he'd poured enough of the hex into it, Erin slowly stood up and brought the orb up to the bottom of his chest. His eyes came to one of the half-blood guards who was a boy from cabin Athena. He the focused the energy of the orb and thrust his hands forward and an erratic strand from the orb shot out with a sizzling and electric sound and struck the right temple of the boy, created the pink aura and casting the hex on him simultaneously. Erin's hands were positioned with his left hand under the orb with the first two fingers pointed out to hold the pink magic while his right hand was held above the orb with his middle and ring fingers curved inward and holding the hex. This caused the orb to become a crazy combination of red and pink energy as an electric sphere circling a center of gold light. Erin's eyes became entirely gold while his irises turned red and his pupils and circles around the irises turned pink. He then took a hold of the energy and brought his arms out. The energy in his hands became orbs of pink, red and gold magic while the orb itself became larger and entirely chaotic. The beam of magic that had struck the boy from cabin Athena then passed through his head and struck the other three half-blood guards and they too were taken control of by the pink aura and hex simultaneously. Erin began to close his hands on the orb and brought it in front of him. As he controlled it, he then shot the orb out with his right hand in front of his left and the orb zoomed to the half-blood guards. As it struck, it flashed out in a gold and red light and they all fell unconscious. Erin sat himself behind the bush and gave himself a moment to settle down after channeling so much magic and chaotic energy. A moment later, he peered from behind the bush to see all the half-blood guards knocked out. He smiled. "Wow, neat trick mom!" Erin got up and walked over to the archway at the edge of the barrier. He came to the center of the archway and stopped just in front of the barrier. He knew that as much as it was easy getting into the camp as a half blood, the tricky part was getting out without sounding the magical alarm and alerting everyone. He took a moment to observe the energy of the barrier. As hard as it was for everyone to see, his magic allowed him to see the energy easily. His eyes were gold as he was examining it. He then thought of how Luke Castellan had used a sword that allowed him to escape the cane by slicing open the barrier and creating a portal. The sword's name was Backbiter. Though Erin didn't actually need a portal, he did need the substance the sword was made of, or rather, to replicate it using a mimicry spell. "Ugh, what was the sword made out of?" He closed his eyes and thought back to a moment when he'd talked to Percy about what had happened with Luke the night he escaped Camp Half-Blood. He could see the memory clear in his mind. As he replayed the memory in his mind, he suddenly began to reobserve how Percy looked. He remembered how skinny, yet sorta muscular Percy was, given how much he'd been training when he got to camp. He remembered his black bushy and messy hair and how the front of it hung over his forehead and between his eyes. He remembered that tan complexion of his, and most of all, his piercing green eyes. Just remembering them, and how he looked, something came up in Erin. He felt a nervousness building up in his stomach and felt his cheeks starting to burn up. His heart started beating quicker and his knees became a little trembly and his lips were parted and quivered. His eyebrows were raised up in a way take could be described as adoring, or even yearning. "Oh god Erin", he said to himself,"stop losing focus!" He quickly shook his head and refocused his mind on what Percy was saying.
