It was now seven thirty in the morning and Chiron began making his morning rounds, making sure all the campers were up and getting ready for training. He slowly walked past each cabin and quickly glanced into each one, saying things like,"Good morning everyone! How did we all sleep? Is everyone well rested? Are you all ready for a big day of training?" Grover had already been up and headed down to the fields with the rest of the satyrs. Chiron made his way by the Athena cabin and glanced in to make sure everyone was up and ready. Annabeth came out of the cabin practically galloping. Chiron figured she must have been very excited for today's training. She had on blue jean shorts with the cuffs rolled up, black converse, her Camp Half-Blood shirt tucked into her shorts, and her curly blonde hair tied up into a high pony with her golden bangs draped over her eyebrows. "Well good morning Annabeth!", said Chiron,"aren't we chipper today?" "Oh yeah!", Annabeth replied,"so ready for today you have no idea!" "Well I'm glad to hear it!", said Chiron. He walked past the Athena cabin and all the rest of the cabins and made his way down to Percy's solo cabin. He came up to the doorway and knocked the door frame with his knuckles. "Hey Chiron", said Percy. "Good morning Percy", replied Chiron,"how are we doing today?" "I'm good", replied Percy. "Alright", said Chiron,"well is there anything you'd like to discuss regarding your letter yesterday? Anything you need to get off your chest?" "No", said Percy,"everything's good." "Well then", said Chiron,"I'll see you on the field." "See ya there", replied Percy.
Chiron then made his way back up the hill to Erin's solo cabin. He was still wondering about what had happened yesterday while he was handing Erin the box and the letter. He remembered that he'd been hesitant to give Erin the box and was going to simply hand him the letter, but then he remembered feeling something strange in his head and vaguely remembering a slight image of himself handing Erin both the letter and the box, but then it disappeared and he remembered finding himself looking down at his hands and they were empty and Erin was gone. He wondered to himself,"What happened? How...Wha-...I-I don't remember." He came up to Erin's cabin, the old cabin that was painted black with gold trim to make it seem more homey for Erin, even though some of the paint had peeled off and the old wood started to peek through. So as to not wake Erin, Chiron stepped to the side of the front steps and knocked on the door frame.
He heard nothing. He frowned for a moment.
He knocked on the door frame again.
Still no response.
"Hello? Erin? It's time to get up for training."
There was no answer.
"Erin?" He then walked up the steps, his front and back hooves making a loud clopping sound, and he peeked his head inside the door. There was nothing. No belongings, no backpack, no Erin. Nothing. The only thing in the room was the empty bed, dresser, and the remains of the plant that had been turned to gold and broken on the wood floor. Chiron's face became stark with shock. He quickly hurried out of the cabin and galloped to the grand lodge. He burst through the front stained glass doors, down the hallway, and into his office. He quickly went behind his desk and pulled open the top right drawer. The spell book, having been the item at the top of the pile of items in the drawer, was gone. Chiron looked up with a worried and concerned expression on his face, also rather confused as to how Erin got the book. "Oh gods Erin, what have you done?"

Chiron quickly galloped out of the grand lodge and made his way to the training field, hoping to find Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. He headed up the trail leading to the clearing in the trees, made his way through the clearing, and hurried into the wide open field within the circling trees. He stopped a few yards away from the campers to observe who was there. Sure enough, he saw a bushy head of black hair and tanned skin, a head of curly blonde hair pulled into a ponytail and tanned skin, and a pair of goat legs with a small pair of horns atop the head of the campers the legs belonged to. They were there, Percy, Annabeth and Grover. Chiron started making his way to them. "Percy! Annabeth! Grover?"
The three of them turned to see Chiron hurriedly galloping towards them. Percy's brows furrowed as he saw the state Chiron was in. "Chiron? What is it?" Chiron reached them and quickly stopped. "Where is Erin?" Percy looked confused. "I don't know. Why?" "Well have you seen him at all this morning?", Chiron inquired. "No", answered Percy,"why? What's going on?" Chiron looked to Annabeth and Grover. "Annabeth, Grover, are you sure you haven't seen him?" "Yeah Chiron", said Annabeth,"none of us have seen him this morning. Chiron, what's going on? Why do you need to know where he is?"
Chiron became filled with worry and seeming to reel from the feeling as he slowly backed away a few steps and had his right hand on his forehead. "Oh gods no. This...this isn't good. This is not good...". Percy looked at Annabeth and Grover with a concerned expression on his face, then back to Chiron. "Chiron, what's not good? What's going on right now? You seem really upset." Chiron took a moment to try and center himself, then slowly looked over to the three of them, his right hand fixed to the side of his head. He slowly lowered his hand and just looked at them, his face carrying a seemingly terrified expression, though he was trying his darnedest to mask it. "I...I think the three of you had better come with me. We can't risk anyone else hearing." The three looked at each other with concerned expressions, then slowly began to walk with Chiron back to the grand lodge.
