If I went to the palace, would I really be able to forget my past and move on?

Different questions kept arising in my mind. Sioux Falls had always been the most peaceful town I've ever been too. Moving from a small town to the busy city of Asheton was going to be really big challenge. It's not like I have a choice.

I really wonder how many truths I will dig more after I meet my family. I opened my storage room and dragged my suitcase and packing bags. I started to empty my wardrobe, placing all of my clothes inside my bags. As I was packing, I decided to go through mom's or let's say Charlotte's things for the last time.

This time I would know what really meant after all. I unlocked her room and went inside. First thing I saw was her photo. She looked beautiful. Her hair that curled down on her face, those green eyes that sparkles as she smiled.

I opened her wardrobe and found her diary. I never knew she used to have one of them. It looked vintage, decorated with daisies and her name beautifully written in cursive. I decided to read it. She hadn't completely used it, but it seemed she had it since she was my age. I found her photos with Alexander. The way they looked at each other, deeply in love, was just enough for me to believe how hurt she might have been. As I read more about her life, I found out how her parents treated her. She had written up a complete list of things her parents did to her, something she would do to me. And once again, tears rolled down, drop by drop on her diary.

I found her ball dress she had worn to her first ballroom dance with Alexander. I decided to take it with me to the palace. She had designed it herself, well it was her dream. It was black in color, filled with laces and bows. It was one of the most beautiful dresses she had designed.

"Elena? You there?"

"Yess!"

"Have some rest, we have to leave early tomorrow."

"Right. I will. Goodnight."
