From Rocker to Mother

Lincoln was walking home from his paper boy job well, former job counting his cash he had saved from the past couple weeks man only 200 dollars it's not gonna help mom with rent much but I guess it's better then nothing Lincoln said as he continued his walk home

Luna's apartment

Lincoln entered into their small one bed, one bath apartment and saw his mother in the kitchen and went over and hugged her. Oh, hey there, buddy, how was school? Luna asked if it was good here. Lincoln said as he handed her the 200 dollars. What the heck? Where did you get this? Luna asked, confused it was from my former paper boy job. Wait, what do you mean, former my throw wasn't the greatest? The paper often ended up in the bushes. Luna sighed and said Lincoln you know what I'm always tell you, don't you ya don't worry about rent worry about being a kid while I have the chance Lincoln said then why did you do this Luna asked going down to her son's level Lincoln then said because I wanna help you and Lincoln couldn't hold it any more and he began to cry thinking he was in trouble oh baby no more tears come here Luna said as Lincoln went into her arms I'm I in trouble Lincoln asked through tears no buddy your not in trouble and well be ok Luna said as she hugged her son you promise Lincoln asked promise Luna responded I love you mama Lincoln said as he began to calm down I love you to baby always Luna said as she kissed his cheek Luna and Lincoln the departed from the hug and Luna held out Lincoln's 200 dollars what mom no I got that for you Lincoln said come on kiddo take it you earned it Luna said Lincoln smiled and took it back so what are you doing Lincoln asked well I'm putting away the grocery I bought this pack of chicken Ramen this should last us a while then a jug of milk that was really it just dinner for the next few days and milk oh and also stuff for my lunches at work Luna said then Luna heard her son's stomach growl Lincoln did you eat lunch at school today Luna asked no Lincoln responded Luna sighed and went back down to his level Lincoln why do you keep skipping lunch Luna asked well I just I I'm getting bullied at school Lincoln responded Luna was shocked and brought him into a hug Lincoln buddy why didn't you tell me Luna asked because they said if I told anyone they'd teach me a painful lesson Lincoln responded fighting back tears come on baby let's see if we can find something for you to eat Luna said as herself and Lincoln went over to their freezer ok let's see what we got freezer burnt burrito can't eat those Luna said as she tossed them into the trash hot pockets that expired one year ago befently not and tossed them as well oh corn dogs that are also freezer burnt then tossed them as well hang on let's check the fridge for any leftovers Luna then saw a jur of jelly and it was still good Lincoln check that peanut butter Luna said Lincoln went over and looked at the expiration date still good mom Lincoln said well looks like we found something for you to eat after all Luna said as she placed the jelly next to the peanut butter and went back to putting the grocerys away

The Next Day

Luna pulled up to her son's school and shut off the car wait mom what are you doing? Lincoln asked. I'm gonna talk to the principal about your bully. Luna responded as she and Lincoln got out of her car, and Lincoln went to his class while Luna went to the office. When Luna made it to the office, she was quickly taken in well Ms Loud while I am as censured as you are. The best thing he can do is ignore it. Ignore it. He told me last night that he has been shoved into his own locker every day since last year and threats to his well-being and hasn't been able to eat lunch because his lunch money was stolen the their was a knock on the door come in said Principal Robert's these two where fighting in the hallway said the Janet and let Lincoln and his bully Damien alright Damien tell me what happened said Principal Robert's well Lincoln here inappropriately touched a girl I went in to defend her and he punched me said Damien that's not true me and Ellie are friends Lincoln said alright Lincoln tell me your side of the story said Principal Robert's me and Ellie are friends we were talking when Damien came up behind her and groped her I was about to say something when he punched me in my stomach Lincoln said alright Damien please head back to class said Principal Robert's Damien smiled to Lincoln as he left Luna already didn't like this Lincoln Damien is a strat A student but you are falling behind so you got a D in all your classes except for one that is marked with an F Principal Robert's please I'm stuck in my own locker tell Ellie let's me out after that class Lincoln Loud if you can not turn this around before the end of the year we will have to hold you back this year but you will also be suspended for the rest of the week said Principal Robert's Lincoln began to tear up please I don't I wouldn't ever do that Lincoln please leave school property and have a good rest of your week go to hell Luna said as she stood and wrapped an arm around her son and lead him out slammed the door behind her as Luna and her son were about to the exit someone called out to her son Lincoln wait up they turned around to see a girl about Lincoln's age running up to him were are going asked the girl I was suspended Ellie because Damien said I was the one who groped you when it was him who did it just wait let me talk to Principal but Ellie was cut off mid sentence no need Ellie it clear that they have made up their mind I'll and thank you for being their from my boy Luna said Ellie quickly hugged Lincoln and said see you after your suspension as she ran off to class Luna and Lincoln went out to Luna's car when she got a call from her supervisor Andrew hello ya I'll be in soon just gotta drop my son off at home Luna said why was he suspended asked Andrew he suspended for groping his friend went it wasn't him Luna said ok well we need you here now or we'll have to have to let you go Andrew said hang on one second baby are you ok to walk home asked Luna what mom you said you would take me home Lincoln said I know I did buddy but if I don't head in now I'll be fired Luna said ok ya I can walk home Lincoln said ok baby see you when I get home Luna said as she kissed his cheek and drove to work while Lincoln began as and once Lincoln was half why home someone got in his path with a butchers knife in hand give me all your cash kid and you won't get hurt Lincoln in complete fear handed the man his 200 dollars the man smiled pushed Lincoln to the ground and ran off Lincoln got back up to his feet and finished is walk home in tears

Hour's later Luna's apartment

Luna entered her apartment and placed her car keys on the counter. Luna looked around but didn't see her son Luna went back to their shared bedroom. When she opened the door, she saw him asleep in their bed. Luna smiled and entered the room, going over, placing a gentle hand on his Lincoln, began to wake up at the touch when he saw her he jumped into her arms, surprising Luna she gently wrapped her arms around him as her son began crying Lincoln buddy wanna tell me what's wrong Luna asked I was walking home and I was robbed Lincoln said through tears oh my baby Luna said as she gently held him in her mind Luna couldn't help but blame her dick of a supervisor had he allowed her to take her son home he won't have been robbed Luna kissed his forehead and layed down in their bed with her son still in her arms and they soon both fell asleep

The Next Morning

Luna woke up and saw her son clinging to her. Luna smiled and kissed his cheek she then got up out of bed and wrapped her son up in their blanket. Suddenly, Luna's phone rang she picked it up to see her supervisor calling her, and she answered to be met with rudeness. Luna, we need you in now it's not a question he said, then hung up on her. Luna sighed as she began to get ready, but as she was about to leave the apartment, she heard the bedroom door open. Luna turned around to see her son standing in the doorway, Mom Lincoln said as he went over and hugged her Lincoln. What are you doing up kiddo let's get you back to bed. Luna said as she picked him up and went back into their room she gently placed him into bed and tucked him in and kissed his forehead as she was about to leave. Lincoln graded her wrist. Please don't leave me alone, mom. I'm scared, Lincoln said, buddy, why are you scared suddenly thunder struck outside and Lincoln hugged her tightly? Oh, I see why now Luna said that's when she got another call from her supervisor Luna. Where are you? I expect you here in five minutes, or your be fired demanded Andrew. I live a half and hour from work. Luna said I don't care. I expect you here in five minutes, Andrew demanded again, "You know what go to hell asshole I quit Luna said as she hung up and blocked his number Luna put her phone on her nightstand mom Lincoln said Luna looked to her son yes kiddo Luna asked what are you gonna do now you have no job Lincoln asked I'll figure something out I promise Luna responded as she kissed his cheek then Lincoln wrapped his arms around her and began to fall back asleep deep down Luna wasn't sure what do to but she know she'd will have to figure something out fast but for now she just wrapped her arms around her son pulling him close to her Lincoln cuddled into her side while Luna just layed awake running her hand through her son's hair
