I smiled as I looked down at my son while I fed him. His tiny hands grasped mine on his bottle. I sighed contently as I watched the trees sway in the park.

Leo surprised me with a trip to Central Park. We've barely left the house since Miles was born. I'm still recovering from the surgery on my spleen, but I'm finally able to get around on my own.

I leaned back against Leo as he kissed the side of my head before looking down at our son.

Our son. That still feels so weird to say. We made this beautiful human together. After everything that's happened over the last year and a half, Miles is exactly what I needed. He is the light shining through all of the darkness.

"I love you."
"I lo—.", I was interrupted by a ball shooting past us followed by two little kids running towards it, almost tumbling into us.

"Nico, Tina!", I heard a woman yell as she hurried towards the children. She had a smaller child on her hip. She reprimanded them for almost running into us before she turned to us. I felt Leo tense up before me as the woman froze.

"Leo?", she was visibly surprised as she stared at Leo. I pulled away and looked at him as he stared back at her.

"It's nice to see you, Karina."

"You remind me of my first girlfriend, Karina Andiacchi..."

Karina is gorgeous. Even with tired eyes and her hair in a messy bun, she could bring any man down to their knees.

A very tall man walked up behind her, holding a little boy who looked identical to the one Karina was holding, and I saw his eyes widen slightly at Leo.

"It's nice to see you too. Uh...I'm sorry about the kids.", she said as Leo stared at her. He tightened his grip on my waist and nodded.

"Um...I'm Cleo. It's nice to meet you.", I introduced myself to cut the tension.

"Cleo and Leo.", the man said as he smiled at Miles.

"Sorry, I'm Mateo, Karina's husband.", he greeted me before looking between his wife and Leo. I could tell she wanted to say something to Leo and I could feel Leo's anxiousness as well as his death grip on my waist. I turned towards him and made him look at me.

"Mateo and I are going to go sit on that bench over there and watch the kids while you sit here and talk to Karina, okay?", I said before standing with Miles. He frowned and stood, grabbing my waist to pull me towards him.

"Why? I'm fine, Cleo."
"You are not fine and I'll tell you why later, but I need you to get this off of your chest. I know you don't like to admit it, but she hurt you. If not for yourself, do this for me and Miles.", I said before leaning up to kiss his cheek. I turned to face Karina, who handed her son to Mateo and gave her a small smile before leaving the two of them alone.

Mateo and I sat on a bench that was nearby. I looked over at Leo who was looking towards the trees. I let out a sigh and looked down at Miles who was falling asleep.

"How old is he?", Mateo said as he glanced at my son before waving over one of his boys. The little boy ran into his dad's arms.
