Taming the dragon~ Ereri (ON HOLD!)

Chtpr 1

General POV

"Hurry up, maggots!" Shadis yelled at the panting group. "How the fuck are you suppose to kill dragons if you can't even run straight!"

Right now, all the young trainees were doing laps around the camp. 20 to be precise. They were all panting and sweating as they ran under the hot sun.

"Is... He.... Trying to... Kill us?!" Eren spoke between pants. He had 4 more laps to go.

"Who knows what goes on in his ugly head. Now shut up and keep running." Replied Mikasa, who was now finished her laps, but decided to run next to her friends anyway. She had barely broken a sweat.

Eren was about to make a comeback, when the sound of a horn cut them short. The horn signaled something had happened and there was need for an emergency meeting.

Shadis sucked his teeth in irritation of the interruption. "You ungrateful worms are lucky!" He yelled in his screechy voice.

"We will continue with training tomorrow." Some sighs of relief could be heard throughout the group. "Now get your stinking asses to the showers, and meet me in the mess hall ASAP!"

The large group dispersed and branched into smaller groups as everyone headed back towards their designated rooms.

"I thought I was gonna die out there!" Connie overreacted. He was one of their few friends around here. Besides Sasha, Marco, Krista, Ymir and Jean.

"Quit whining, baldie." Jean spoke back, sounding irritated. Eren didn't quite get along with the horse faced male. Eren's main excuse was; "His face is too stupid."

"Shut up horse-face!" Eren snapped.

Mikasa rolled her eyes at the small argument between, and buried her face even more into her red scarf.

~15 mins later, in the mess hall~

The group of now-clean trainees sat assembled in the mess hall, waiting for the oh-so important announcement.

Eren tapped his foot impatiently, wanting to get this over with. He could be training right now! He could be improving his skills! Not wasting his precious time on something as unimportant as this.

His thoughts were interrupted by Shadis clearing his throat. All the chatter in the mess hall died down when they saw who was standing next to him. The legendary Commander Erwin Smith of the Survey Corps! And with him, Captain Levi Ackerman!
Maybe this was more important than he thought...

Eren's breathing hitched. His hero was standing right in front of him! He tried not to fanboy too much...

"You should all know who these two gentlemen are!" Shadis voice boomed.

The quiet murmur started up again in the room.

"Shut up you filthy maggots!" His hissed. "How dare yo--" he was interrupted by a deep friendly voice.

"It's ok, Keith, I'll take it from here." Erwin said with a friendly smile. Next to him, Levi looked unimpressed.

"So I bet your wondering why we are here." He began. "Well you see, two days ago, dragons tried to break into the Kingdom of Sina." Many gasps were heard in the audience. "Don't worry, they didn't get very far. Anyway, we had managed to catch a rather small specimen, and it is now being examined by our scientist and is undergoing a series of tests. We discovered that that particular type of dragon, although it's IQ levels are pretty low, it still has a higher intelligence than we originally thought."

Everyone stared at him in interest, some people turning their heads and whispering to their friends.

"We also found out that this one is indeed unintelligent enough for us to, per say, brainwash it into submission. In other words, train it." Eren stood up angrily and banged his hands on the table.

"They are horrible monsters that don't deserve to live!" He shouted furiously. "You've seen what they've done! They don't deserve a second chance!"

Levi lifted an eyebrow, turning his head towards the angry brunette. "Jaeger! How dare you speak back to your superior!" Shadis yelled. The captain put a hand infront of the training instructors face to keep him from shouting.

"Your screeching is giving me a headache." Levi hissed, eyes never leaving the brunette. His steel eyes snapped away from him to look at Erwin, before dropping his hand from Shadis' face. "Continue, eyebrows."

"Anyway..." Erwin cleared his throat, "as I said, we think we can train it to fight with us. But for it to work, we need more to see if we can do the same with other dragons." He smiled warmly to the crowd. "So that's where you guys come in! We need some of you lovely people to come with us and help capture dragons!"

The crowd stared at him as if he'd grown two heads. "And of course you'd be staying with the Survey Corps as a recognized member, with food and a room."

He then proceeded to clap his giant hands together. "So any volunteers?"

Phew *wipes away sweat* that's done. I know I said it would be getting exiting soon, but this chapter was longer than I thought. (; •-•)

Please forgive my awful writing!!
This story might have a slightly slow build, but I'm planning something amazing in the near future *evil laugh* I'll probably update in a couple of days....
