IN WHICH — Reader and Jo reunite in each other's arms, pushing aside their past for the night.
─────────────⋆⋅☆⋅⋆──────────────JOHNNY HAD ROLLED HIMSELF A BLUNT, opting to smoke by himself as it allowed him to be alone and reflect on himself without the distraction of his friends, and as much as he enjoyed being in their company talking about whatever came to mind, he found himself needing to be alone at times.
Once lit, he took the first drag, inhaling the marijuana. He knew it would be the first drag of many as the once potent drug had become nothing to him, his body used to its effects from years of smoking — It became regular to him.
He wouldn't say he was addicted though, as everyone he knew did it and they were fine. At least that's what they want others to believe, and themselves too. They all had different coping mechanisms, some more harmful than others. Jo knew it wasn't healthy, but he knew there wasn't another way.
Women and Substances were his vices.
Since the age of sixteen, Jo had never been alone in terms of relationships or hookups that didn't last more than a couple of weeks before he got bored with them and ended up cheating. He never understood why he'd eventually grown sick of these girls, but he did.
Johnny didn't care if he hurt them or caused them to doubt themselves. They were just there for him to fill a void. No matter how many girls he fucked or how many drugs he took to get high and forget, he couldn't.
Each girl he was with resembled Y/N in a way, whether it was the way she look, spoke, or acted. But in the end, they weren't her.
It'd been years since the two were together. Years since she moved on, but for some reason, he couldn't.
"Fuck." He uttered to himself. Jo felt he couldn't move on without closure from her, but at the same time, he didn't want to officially close the chapter.
He'd seen her around from time to time, visiting her family and there he was, watching her from a distance. He hated that he felt he couldn't approach her without the fear of rejection, but he felt it was best that he left her alone.
