( 2- Forgive and Forget )

It was the next morning, Angelica was still asleep. Jack woke up early to start the day, he doesn't like waking up early, but he did anyway. He was already drinking his 5th rum bottle by the time she woke up. She walked out of the cabin and noticed Jack by the wheel, steering it drunk. Gibbs walks out of his cabin and notices her "Angelica?!" He says surprised, She looked over to him and did a small wave and a tiny smile "Hello again, Gibbs" "I thought you passed..?" He said, he was happy to see her but confused on how shes still alive "You can't get rid of me that easily," She said, laughing. Gibbs grinned.

"So... is he drunk again?" Gibbs asked, concerned "It looks like it, I don't trust him doing that." She replied as Gibbs walked over to Jack "Are you drunk, mate?" He asked as Jack drunkenly looked at him "No, of course not! What do ye mean? I'm never drunk!" He hissed, Gibbs gave him a really look and raised his eyebrow, "Maybe... I can steer the ship while you go lie down, Savvy?" Gibbs said to him as Jack looked confused "huhh?", Gibbs looked at Angelica to get him, she nodded and grabbed him by the arm and brought him to his cabin.

"C'mon now, Sparrow. How many have you had to drink?" Angelica asked, concerned "uhh... man idk like 5? Orrrrr moreee?" Jack asked, Angelica facepalms "Get to bed, Sparrow. I'm not dealing with you drunk." She replied "awhh, but its daytimeee!!" He frowns "I don't wannaaa" Angelica looked at him with an angry look, her voice got louder as she said "Jack Sparrow, if you dont get in bed right now I will make you do so myself!" She demanded "Orr whatt~?" He teased, grinning. She grabbed him and dragged him to bed. "Rest. Now." She demanded again, Jack's eyes sudden shut and he fell asleep. Angelica smiled, she wanted to kiss his forehead but was hesitant and decided to leave.

She slowly walked out of the cabin, grabbing Jack's voodoo doll out of her pocket and looks at it "still as handsome as I remember" She thought but then shook her head, snapping out of it. She looked ahead of her and sees the crew on board doing their usual duties. She puts the doll back in her pocket and walks to the back end of the ship, walking up the stairs. She pulls out a book and starts to read it.

2 hours pass by and Angelica hears footsteps coming from the cabin. She looks over to see Jack walking out with a confused look on his face. "Why was I in me cabin? I could've sworn I was on deck?" He scratched his head as he walked up the stairs and saw Gibbs steering "Ah, Jack! I see yer awake!" He smiled "What happened?" Jack said, puzzled "Ye got drunk, don't know how many ye drank but ye've been out for 2 hours." Gibbs replied "2 hours? wow" Gibbs nods "Anywho, what be our headin', Cap'n?" Gibbs said as he tried changing the subject "Well, from what I've heard theres been a raid in Tortuga. Don't know why they would but they did. Was hoping to get some more rum from the bar. Why don't we make port there?" "That's alright with me, sir!" Gibbs nodded "Where's Angelica?" Jack looked worried, "Shes over there" he points to Angelica's direction. "Ah, thanks mate!" He said before walking off towards her.

Jack decided to scare her so he slowed himself down, crept behind her and when she flipped a page he went "boo!" She screamed and hit him hard with the book "QUÉ DEMONIOS?!" She yelled "Jesus christ, what was that for?! Ye didn't have to hit me with that hard ass book!" He scolded "That's what you get for sneaking up on me, idiota" Jack sighed "What were ye reading before.... that happened?" He wondered "Just... about the sea is all." She replied "I see... hope ye don't mind if I sit next to ya, mate." He said as he started to get down on the wooden floor. Angelica shrugged it off.

After a few long minutes of silence, Jack decided to break it "Soo... Angelica... how uh.... was life treatin' ya?" He wondered as he looked at her "Well lets see... I was marooned on an island for 7 years, haven't ate much there except coconuts and a few other things. How do you think it went?" Jack sighs "I... I know I can't do anything about it but I want ye to know that I'm terribly sorry for everything that happened back then. I know nothing I say will make an effect on the past but.... I just wanted to make myself clear. It's probably not the apology ye were expecting but I hope ye know that I feel terrible about the whole 'fountian of youth' thing, as well as the convent situation. I should ask before entering a random place, right?" He giggles a bit. Angelica closes the book she was reading and looked at him, smiling. "... I forgive you, Jack. Just... promise me you won't do-" "I won't! I promise you, I won't!" He said quickly, cutting her off. She smiled, got up, and hugged him. Jack couldn't believe it, but he hugged back.
