•Steve McGarrett's House•
"Luke, Leah, come here please!" Steve, the twins' older brother by 8 years, and legal guardian since their parents were murdered, calls for the rambunctious 8 year old twins. Steve was just 30 years old when his little siblings were born, his step mother, Samantha or just Sam Thompson, gave birth to two beautiful new born babies. One beautiful and healthy baby girl at 4 lbs and 4 oz and one handsome and healthy baby boy at 5 lbs and 4 oz. John McGarret had remarried after falling in love with his wife, Samantha Thompson after rescuing her and her friends from a hostage situation in one of the Hilton hotels. At first Steve was not very happy that his Dad had remarried but it made his old man happy so therefore it made him happy. He liked Samantha, he did, but he just felt at first that Samantha might have tried to replace his mother which was not the case at all. She understood what he went through and respected it, she informed him that she was and would never try to replace his mother. And life was great until it wasn't. One day Steve got a call he never expected and it would turn his life upside down. His father, John, and step mother, Samantha, were killed in a car bombing accident set by one "Wo Fat". A criminal Steve and 5 o had been hunting since his mom's murder. He rushed to the scene, expecting to find out his siblings were in the explosion but fortunately for them, they were still at school. Steve had to pick them up that day, and deliver the devastating news to his little twin siblings. It's been a rough 6 months since their parents murder, but Luke and Leah were adjusting nicely. Or as nicely as they could have given the unfortunate circumstances. "Yeah, Stevie?" Leah's sweet little voice responds, trotting down the stairs from her bedroom. "Where's your brother, kiddo?" Steve asks with a warm smile. "Right here, Stevo!" Luke's energetic self says, sliding down the banister railing. "Luke Kanaka McGarret!" Steve says in a warning tone to his trouble making little brother. "Yes, Stevo?" Luke asks, innocently, jumping off the banister railing and onto the ground in front of Steve. Who was not very impressed with his 8 year old brother's current antics. "Kiddo, what have I told you about sliding down the banister?" Steve asks, crouching down to be level with his brother. "Uhm, not too?" Luke says. "Yes, so care to explain why you keep doing it?" Steve asks, calmly but sternly. It's like the hundredth time just today he's told his little brother to stop sliding down and jumping off the banister railing. "I don't know, but it's fun!" Luke's energetic self bursts out. "I know it may be fun but you know what is not going to be fun?" Steve asks his trouble making little brother. "No, what Stevo?" Luke hides a smile. "You hurting yourself and me having to take you to Hawaii medical center for a possible broken limb, so for the last time, bud, please stop, ok?" Steve explains in a calm tone to his energetic brother who just can't sit still for 5 minutes to save his life. "Okay, Stevo!" Luke smiles. "Thank you, bud. I love you, kiddo and would hate to see you hurt for not listening to me. So promise you won't do that again?" He asks, standing up and playfully ruffling the boy's hair up. "I promise, I love you too Stevo!" Luke half hugs his older brother, with his right hand behind his back and fingers crossed. "Okay, now then, I have some news ok?" Steve announces to his twin siblings, standing in front of them and their adorable, missing a front tooth, smiling faces. "You have to go to work?" Leah's usually up beat and excited personality faded, and was replaced with a sad demeanor. "No, actually it's my day off so I get to spend the whole day with my 3 favorite people!" Steve announces, "Isn't that exciting, kiddos?" Luke and Leah share a confused expression, "Uncle Danny's coming over?" The twins ask in unison. Steve can't help but let out a small chuckle. "No, but it's someone better!" He adds. The twins' grinny smile turns into frowns. "Who Stevie?" Leah is the first to ask. "Well I have a very special woman, I would like you guys to meet, and she's invited us to lunch at our favorite place on the island!" Steve says, excitedly. "Lahaina shave ice?!" The twins share an excited look between the two. "Yes, and then afterwards I was thinking maybe we could go on a hike to Haleakala National Park? How does that sound?" Steve asks the twins. "The one Daddy used to take you hiking when you were our age, Stevie?" Leah asks, curiously and with eager eyes. "Yes, that's the one, kiddo." Steve answers his sweet, and curious by nature little sister. "That sounds, cool!" Leah says, hugging her brother. "Awesome sauce, I think you'll love Catherine, she's super duper sweet and funny. Like you, my sweet Lemon drop." Steve boops the little girl on her nose, making her giggle. Meanwhile Luke just looks upset about the hike. "Lukey, what's going on, bud? Aren't you excited?" Steve questions his usually excited and eager brother. "I.. I am.. it's just Daddy never got to take us there.. and-" Luke is cut off by Steve pulling him into his arms for a hug as he starts crying. "I know bud, I know, and I know Dad would have loved to take you both there but unfortunately he never had the chance but you know what?" Steve asks, pulling away from the embrace and holding his brother at arms length by the shoulders as Luke used the bottom of his shirt to wipe his face off. "Wh-what?" Luke sniffles. "Dad will be there, he'll always be there watching over us, and never forget that he loved you, and Leah oh so much." Steve says.
