Matteo POV:

Matteo, with a resolute expression, strode into the principal's office, his demeanour reflecting his urgency and concern. He wasted no time in recounting the events that had unfolded between Aurora and that disgusting Gregory, his words carrying the weight of the truth. Principal McGonagall listened attentively, her expression growing increasingly solemn as Matteo detailed the gravity of the situation. After Matteo had finished his account, Principal McGonagall sighed heavily, her features drawn with concern. She assured Matteo that she would personally address the matter and ensure that Gregory faced the appropriate consequences for his actions. Meaning - he will be expelled. Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, she entrusted Aurora's safety into Matteo's capable hands for now, knowing that he would do whatever was necessary to protect her.

"If she needs to, tell her to come to my office and discuss this. The nurse is also always available if she needs any help with sleep or counselling."

With a nod of gratitude, Matteo left the principal's office, his mind buzzing with a mix of determination and concern. Though the desire to kill that disgusting guy still simmered within him, he felt a newfound sense of responsibility for Aurora's well-being. As he made his way back to the dormitory, his thoughts were consumed by the weight of the task that lay before him.

Matteo's steps echoed softly in the empty corridors as he made his way back to the dormitory, his mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. On one hand, a fierce desire for vengeance burned within him, fueling his every step with an unrelenting determination to see justice served. On the other, a sense of relief washed over him at the thought of Aurora's safety, her pleading voice echoing in his mind like a bittersweet melody, 'She didn't want me to hurt him to protect me.'

As he reached the familiar threshold of his room, Matteo paused, his heart skipping a beat at the sight before him. There, lying peacefully upon his bed, was Aurora, her form illuminated by the soft glow of the room's dim lighting. A rush of emotions surged within him as he watched her, his lips curling into a wry smile as he whispered to himself, "What is wrong with me? She's just a girl. Would I care this much if it was any other girl?" but his mind was racing.

Closing and locking the door behind him with a soft click, Matteo approached Aurora's sleeping form with a mixture of reverence and longing. Gently, he brushed a stray lock of hair away from her face, his fingers lingering against her skin as he drank in the sight before him, 'God, she is beautiful.'

In that moment, as he stood there in the quiet sanctuary of his room, Matteo couldn't help but marvel at the ethereal beauty of the girl who had captured his heart. Despite the chaos that surrounded them, he found himself lost in the depths of her slumbering form, his thoughts consumed by the enigmatic allure of Aurora Kindle. 'I guess it's time for me to go to bed as well.'

Aurora POV:

Aurora awoke to a sense of disorientation, her mind foggy as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. Slowly, the events of the previous night flooded back into her consciousness, and she realized with a start that she was not in her own bed or her own room. Her heart raced as she scanned the room, her eyes coming to rest on Matteo, who lay beside her, his arms enveloping her in a protective embrace, his arms around her waist, his head nestled into her chest as Aurora's arms were wrapped around his neck.

'Oh my God, I'm sleeping with him in his bed. Why did I lay down in his bed?'

A wave of conflicting emotions washed over Aurora as she gazed down at Matteo, his sleeping form peaceful against her own. She felt the weight of his body pressing against hers, the intimacy of their proximity stirring a tumult of sensations within her. Despite the chaos of her thoughts, there was a sense of comfort in his presence, a feeling of safety that she couldn't quite reconcile with the events of the night before.
