3rd Person pov.:

On a particular road inside of trost, a wagon with many goods on it was currently blocking the only way towards the inner gate in the surrounding. The owner, a wealthy merchant, held off the other people who wanted to escape. He insisted that his goods were more valuable then they were and that they shouldn't complain and instead help with getting it through the gate.

During that, a mother was hugging her child.

"Don't worry, sweetie. Daddy's going to use those big, loud cannons he showed us to scare off the titans." She reasured her.

But the child noticed something in the distance. "Mommy, look. There." The child pointed out.

Turning back, the mother could feel the earth shake. Far behind them they all could see a soldier stumbling through the street, before suddenly a titan rounded the corner in a sprint, launching the soldier away and continuing towards them.

The people were screaming in panic. The merchant urged them to push the cart through.

Behind the titan a few soldiers tried to catch up to it.

"Dammit! Why is it ignoring us!?" One of them complained.

"It's an abnormal! Stop trying to figure it out!" Another yelled.

"He's too fast! There's no way we'll reach him before he gets to the gate!" The third soldier shouted.

Suddenly someone flew past all three of them.

Using more gas, Mikasa flew up to the titan and managed to shoot one of her wires into his neck, before propelling herself forwards and cutting it's neck. It fell down right infront of the crowd with mikasa standing on it's head.

"What is going on here?" Looking ahead, she was confused that there were still people here.

"Couldn't have asked for a better timing! Command these useless fools to push the wagon through! I'll pay you handsomely." The Merchant commaned.

She stared at him with wide eyes in disbelieve and pointed behind herself.

"Are you serious? Soldiers are dying back there, laying down their lives for you. All because this is taking too long." She said.

"Yeah, that's their job. You expect me to shed a tear cuz they got to fulfill the duties they signed up for? They're supposed to be willing to lay down their lives. Don't get all high-handed on me, just because you finally got to earn your keep!" The merchant complained.

Upon hearing this, mikasa's expression darkened and she jumped down from the titans body, heading towards the merchant.

"If you expect someone to die for the sake of another as a matter of fact, then you will understand this..... That sometimes a single noble sacrifice can save many lives." she calmly explained.

The merchant's two guards went inbetween the two, trying to stop her.

"I can easily decide your fate with a single word!" The merchant shouted out in anger.

Mikasa wasn't fazed in any way. Quickly drawing her swords, she used the back of her blades to knock out the two guards. She continued on, till she stood right in front of him.

"How is a corpse going to talk?" She said in a cold and calm voice while raising her sword.

"W-Wait!!" The merchant yelled out and the blade stopped right before hitting his neck.

After a few seconds the merchant got his composure back.

"Pull the wagon back...." He ordered his henchman.
