chapter twenty three (xxiii) : 'I love you'

the man seemed absolutely stunned by his nun's actions and looked to her in a mixture of disbelief and shock. sodo was still frozen in place, he wanted to do something to help you but it was like his entire body was immobile. his eyes were solely focused on watching his girlfriend get hurt. As the knife got pulled out my side I stumbled back a few steps before the same nun rammed the sword into my stomach pushing me back into the stained glass window. sodo was absolutely enraged by what he was watching as he watched you get stabbed first in the side and then the stomach. as you fell through the stained glass window and dropped to the floor below, sodo snapped. he broke away from the man he was holding up against the wall and stormed towards the nun with a look on his face that could make the devils himself quake in fear. you could see his fangs come out as a look of indescribable rage filled every part of his face. his movements became so fast that it was almost like the world itself seemed to slow down for him. with one simple movement he, he ripped the sword out the nun's hand and flung it across the room. sodo's heart instantly broke as he saw you lying on the floor covered in blood and completely motionless, it was one of the scariest moments of his life and he began to tear up as he ran down the stairs towards you. I could feel my breathing becoming shorter and shorter as I started choking on the blood coming out my mouth. I patted around for sodos hand before telling him 'Its my turn to wait for you in the darkness' I smiled. he immediately grabbed your hand when he felt it searching around for him and he held it tightly as he looked down at you with pure worry and love. he was terrified by this situation and he didnt know what to do but he could feel your breathing becoming shorter and shorter. he was crying at this point and was begging for you not to leave him. 'no...no no no...please dont leave me...please please please...dont die....'. 'If I could choose darling I would choose not to..but I don't have that choice' I said as I choked on more blood, my teeth were all bloody.

he started to cry heavily as he realised that you were probably going to die despite him begging and begging for you to stay. he couldnt believe this was happening and couldnt believe you were leaving him, and at this point he couldnt stop it. he was crying hysterically as the reality of the situation started to set in.
