PS- WHEN I FIRST WROTE THIS I MIXED UP THE VACATIONS AND I DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHEN 1 YEAR IN HOGWARTS STARTED AND ENDED. SO JUST PRETEND THAT WINTER VACAY IS LIKE THE SUMMER VACAY!

In this universe - the school year starts in January and ends with Winter Break!

In the confines of Matteo's room, the tension crackled between him and Aurora as their lips collided in a fervent embrace. Matteo's grip on her remained firm as he pressed her body against the door, the urgency of their desire fueling the intensity of their kiss. Aurora's response was palpable, her soft moans filling the air with a sweet melody of longing. As their passion escalated, Aurora's hands eagerly sought to remove Matteo's shirt, the fabric a barrier between them that begged to be discarded. Yet, amidst the heat of the moment, Matteo's thoughts cleared, a moment of lucidity breaking through the haze of desire. He knew he wanted Aurora, but not like this— not in a frenzy of alcohol.

With a decisive action, Matteo lifted Aurora effortlessly, his movements fluid as he carried her to the bed and positioned himself above her. Their lips still connected, he trailed kisses down her neck, savouring the intoxicating sound of her moans and gasps. As Matteo left a mark on her skin, a possessive streak stirred within him, a primal urge to leave his mark on her as a testament that she was his.

Matteo moved down her body as he said:

"We're not going all the way today, sweetheart," he said, positioning his head between her thighs, and as he kissed the inside of her legs, she moaned from the sweet tickling sensation, "Our first time will not be when you're under the influence of alcohol," he stated right before his face moved closer to her thighs, kissing over her panties.

Aurora could not speak, she was in too big of a trance. She let him remove her underwear as his head went down on her, his tongue swirling her lips as he finally found her clitoris. Their hands intertwined, Aurora arched her back, enjoying every second of this feeling. She couldn't stop: "Uh, Matteo... that feels—" she could feel his smile between her legs. This went on for a while and Aurora enjoyed every second. Matteo's tongue was just too skilled. Gasping, she finally moaned, "Matte— I'm gonna—," and she orgasmed, not holding back and gripping Matteo's head between her thighs as she did, digging her nails in his hands. As he got back up, laying beside her, Aurora was panting. She knew there was no going back now.

'He was right. We can never be friends.'

As the end of holiday break drew near, Hogwarts buzzed with the return of students. Aurora navigated through the bustling corridors, her gaze drifting over familiar faces and distant memories. Among the sea of students, Ashley's energetic presence caught her eye, and they embraced warmly, the reunion infused with genuine affection. "How have you been? You look amazing, Aurora!" Ashley exclaimed, her enthusiasm infectious. Aurora returned the smile, grateful for her friend's unwavering support. Yet, amidst the joyous reunion, tension lingered in the air, a subtle undercurrent of unresolved emotions.

Aurora's attention shifted to Faize and Tyler, their presence a reminder of the complexities of her emotions. When Tyler approached, her heart quickened its pace, the sound of its rhythm echoing in her ears. His embrace enveloped her, lifting her spirits as they shared a moment of joy and laughter, "I missed you, my beauty!"

But as Ashley cast a cold glance toward Faize - she abruptly turned to leave, Aurora's concern deepened. Sensing the rift between her friends, Aurora drew Tyler closer, her words laced with determination: "I'm going to check up on her. Meet me tonight in the courtyard, okay?" she whispered, seeking solace in their shared connection.

Tyler nodded in understanding, "Okay, see you at 7," he affirmed and gave her a wink, their bond a beacon of hope amidst the uncertainty that awaited them.

Aurora's footsteps quickened as she chased after Ashley, the urgency palpable in her movements, "ASHLEY! WAIT UP!" Finally catching up to her friend, she gently clasped Ashley's hand, concern etched into her features.

"Ashley, what's wrong?" Aurora's voice was soft, laced with worry as she observed the tears glistening in her friend's eyes. She cried out: "It's Faize."
Sensing the need for privacy, she suggested, "Let's go to the room and talk. There are too many people here."

Ashley nodded, allowing herself to be enveloped in Aurora's comforting embrace. "You know Mara is back today too, right?" she murmured, her voice laden with apprehension.

Aurora sighed, a mixture of resignation and acceptance colouring her tone. "I know. It's okay. I don't have any hate towards her. I doubt she'll talk to me anyway," she replied, her words tinged with a sense of detachment, a shield against the lingering uncertainties of the past.

As Aurora and Ashley entered their room, passing Matteo in the common room, Aurora couldn't help but feel a pang of unease as their eyes met. Once inside the sanctuary of their room, Ashley's facade crumbled, tears streaming down her face as she confessed, "Faize and I - we slept together."

Aurora's eyes widened in surprise, her initial reaction one of encouragement. "But that's good! You two are perfect together," she exclaimed, trying to offer reassurance.

However, Ashley's laughter held no warmth, her eyes hollow as she recounted the aftermath. "Yeah, so great," she remarked, sarcastically, "Only after we did it, he started to avoid me. He didn't speak to me for the rest of our time in Paris. He was so cold, even when I tried to talk to him, he actually seemed to look at me with disgust."

Aurora's heart ached for her friend's pain, and she offered her support, suggesting, "I'm so sorry. Do you want me to talk to him?"

But Ashley shook her head, determination etched into her features. "No, please don't. I don't want him to think he hurt me. I won't give him the satisfaction. We are in year 6 now - I'll get a boyfriend. No more one-night stands. I'll find a nice guy to date and settle down."

Aurora smiled, though a part of her doubted Ashley's ability to move on so quickly from the heartache. Still, she vowed to stand by her friend's side, offering whatever support she could muster.

As Aurora and Ashley conversed, the tension in the room was palpable, exacerbated by Mara's entrance. Their eyes met briefly, but Mara quickly diverted her gaze, adopting an air of nonchalance as she made her way to her bed, unpacking a few belongings. Aurora opted for silence, unwilling to engage with Mara at that moment. Her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of Mara's likely hurt over Matteo's admission of regret regarding the fact they slept together.

Sensing the discomfort, Ashley suggested they leave, aiming for better seats in the Great Hall. As they prepared to depart, Mara couldn't resist a jab, her tone mocking and cold, "Why you crying? Some guy knocked you up?" she jeered, a cruel smirk playing on her lips.

Aurora turned to face Mara, her own expression hardening as she delivered a stern warning, "I thought I told you. Open your dirty mouth again, and I'll rip your tongue out, Mara."
With that, she and Ashley exited the room, leaving Mara's taunts behind them.

.........

As Aurora and Ashley settled into their seats in the Great Hall, nestled among other Slytherins, their attention was quickly diverted by the social dynamics unfolding around them. One Slytherin boy was already engaging Ashley in flirtatious banter, and she seemed to reciprocate his interest, their conversation quickly escalating.

Before Aurora could engage with anyone else, their group was joined by Tyler, Faize, and Matteo. Aurora felt Matteo's intense gaze on her, causing a slight unease to flutter in her stomach. Tyler draped his arm around Aurora's shoulder, drawing her closer to him, eliciting a smile from her. However, when Aurora glanced at Faize, she noticed a hint of discomfort in his expression, particularly as he observed Ashley's interactions with the other Slytherin boy.

'Don't think about Matteo. What happened between you two is now over. He would never do anything to hurt Tyler, neither would I. It's time to move on and focus on Tyler.'

Despite the underlying tension, the atmosphere in the Great Hall was festive as the ceremony commenced, welcoming new first-year students into Slytherin House. Cheers erupted from all the tables as each new student was sorted, adding to the celebratory mood of the evening.
