She took deep breaths holding both her hands tightly
Thrill of the new future and worry of what it might hold made her body cold
She is enthusiastic about the changes that are about to take place in her life but at the same time her anxiety disables her.
The voices of the council and her father faded away by her racing thoughts as they sat together to eat

She chewed slowly not wanting the King to prod her to eat properly

She could tell he noticed her eating like a sloth but refrained from pointing it out and she was grateful for it

It isn't that she hated the idea of being married,a sign left her lips as she sided the food in her plate

All her life she took challenging courses, challenging actions and challenging decisions

So...challenging she became.

It is hard to be with a person who does not simply comply by the rules and regulations of society....especially a woman
Because of the influences of people in her life she learned to question things and develop a mind far different than others and became a women with independent thoughts, exactly the opposite of what her father wanted.

how come...nobody warned her that being a woman of high calibre would come with far more challenges than a...normal life.
And she wasn't even that educated YET
She wondered if being so difficult is even worth it.

Her being the only daughter...
The king is going to cherry pick only the most rich prince or worse...a king!!

The said king or prince would not stand her broad mind and infinite changes within her.

'I change like the phases of moon, every night I look in the mirror and question the person infront of me' the writing on her bedroom wall crossed her mind

She worries that her 'husband' is going to kill her personality and it is the worst thing indeed to be dead inside while being sentenced to live and laugh.

"Would life be far easier if I just complied?" She wondered out loud as her face dropped
"Hmm?" The king raised his eyebrow
She looked up wide eyed only to face the entire table staring at her

"I-I do not feel well father" she coughed "May I take my leave"
He looked at her face and nodded silently

She gathered her dress and got up from her place
"Inaya" he interrupted her
"Before you go" He looked at her as if contemplating something
Her eyebrows drew close
"I just wanted to remind you that tomorrow we are meeting the fighters" his voice trembled a bit
"Fighters?" She asked carefully
"Yes,it is about time you are introduced to the Red Segment now dear" he said looking at his plate
Silence overtook her mind

"Why me father I am not involved in any way and...you know how I feel about the gamblings of life and fightings" she tried to sound monotone hiding her exasperation
"Well your opinion is not of the importance now is it" he continued eating
"Need I remind you how important this festival is for Qalb and where the fundings go" he said harshly
She stood there looking at the ground
"N-no father" she signed
"I'll be present"

I sat there among other guests, the arena is exceptionally bright today and filled to the brim..the golden throne and seats polished to look anew, variety of food being served to greedy guests of father.
From where I sat,I could recognize some noble families which I met over the years in Foehtan, there was nothing noble about them.

A sign left my lips
Who am I to judge while I sit here in the exact same lavish clothing, eating from the best of the best knowing there are people struggling to put food on their plate
