No one's P.O.V.

It's almost as if you cannot hear the sound of the bell echo through the walls of the school building.

You hear people laughing and giggling, talking about tonight's dance. You hear girls talk about their dresses, hair, and some even bring up their full make-up routine. You hear people talking about how they're surprising their loved ones on a memorable night like this, while other comfort their friends because they don't have a date.

Through the crowed halls, a brown haired, 5'10 boy walks towards a specific person. His favorite person if we go into details. When this person sees him, she gets all smiles and gets lost in his beautiful green eyes that always have that same twinkling when he sees her blue ones.

Betty's perspective:

I'm talking to my friends as someone mentions him coming over towards us. I swiftly turn around and almost snap my neck as my blue eyes find his emerald ones. His mouth turns to a smile and his dimples appear.

I don't notice that I'm staring until my best friend Dorothea shouts my name. "Betty! What do you think about Inez's rumors?" Dorothea says.

"What rumors? Sorry I just zoned out for a bit", I respond, but in the corner of my eye I still see a pair of eyes checking me out up and down. "Rumors that say that Benjamin and Olivia broke up, because Olivia doesn't actually work at a pawn shop," Dorothea says lowering her voice at the end to finish her sentence, "she works at this strip club downtown."

"Really?! I'm not sure I can believe this. Olivia's such a sweet girl, and well, we all know not to trust everything that comes from Inez's mouth. Anyway, I think I'm gonna head over to James. See y'all tomorrow?' "Okay yeah we'll see you tomorrow", Dorothea says.

As I walk over James" smile turns into a grin and once I'm close enough, he pulls me in by the waist and kisses me. My arms wrap around his neck. Kissing him is muscle memory.

His tongue glides along my bottom lip, asking for permission to enter.

I break of the kiss, to place a kiss on his earlobe. "Not here, James. You know I don't like too much PDA. Look around everyone's watching", I whisper.

"Don't be such a coward now", James says. "I'm just not comfortable James. We can finish this at home, okay?" "Ugh fine", James grumbles.

He gives me a quick peck on the lips. "I love you" "I love you too", We say to each other.

"Should we go to my house first to grab my suit?" James suggests. "Yeah, baby that sound like a great idea", I answer.

We walk out of the school building and onto the parking lot, where James' car is parked.

"Hop in my passenger princess", he tells me with a playful smirk on his face. James always picks me up for school in his car so I don't have to go by bus. We drive to his home.

James' perspective:

I park in front of the garage as we arrive to my home. I open the front door and walk inside.

"Hi mom! I'm home!" I shout through the house.

"Hey honey! Is Betty with you?" my mom asks.

"Hi miss Cooper", Betty answers. "Hi honey", my mom walks down the stairs. "Are you excited for the dance?" she asks once she's gotten down the stairs.

"I am. I'm very excited to go with James. I just know we're gonna have a great time." She looks up into my eyes and gives me a warm smile. I give her a smile back.

"We're gonna get ready at Bet's house, so I'm just here to get my suit", I tell my mom. "Oh, and I'm not sure if I'll see you before the dance, mom", I add. "That's okay dear. Well, I hope you two have fun then." "Thanks, miss Cooper", Betty says.

"I'm getting my suit real quick. Be right back" I grab my suit from my room. I didn't buy a new one because I didn't really think I was going in the first place. These kinds of events are not really my thing. I'm just not a fan of crowds. But I noticed that Betty really wanted to go, so I decided to go anyway. I head back downstairs.

"Ready to go?" I ask betty once she's finished talking to my mom.

"Yeah. Let's go"
