Black with red strips on the bottom

Loose, with an extra layer of net flowing around

It was... too plain

The search went on

So many colors, so many designs

And then I saw it

Not too plain, not to extravagant

It was special

Blue, green, with gold stripes on the bottom

I never saw any other dress like it

My heart began to beat covetously

as I made my hand made its way around the silky, rich fabric.

Two decorative flowers on the top.

A blue, greenish combination with riffles at the end

which made it seem elegant.

I loved it. I checked the price tag.

$350

Not bad. Eid is going to be a blast! I cant wait.

I ran to the counter, took out my money and bought the dress without thinking twice.

I stuffed it into the shopping bag. After buying 6 tubes of henna from the store next door, I ran hme with excitement.

When I entered the house, my nose filled with the aroma of strawberry cheesecake, apple pie, and chocolate muffins.

Eid was on Friday and everyone was getting ready for this exciting holiday.

After applying henna to both my hands and feet, I decorated the house and windows with lightings I made a huge banner that said EID MUBARAK in red and green glitter.

I admired my banner. It was beautiful.

Everything's going to be just perfect, I told myself.
