Although it's been a year, Rosalia couldn't help recall the first time she laid eyes on the two boys. Draken and Yuuki. It was hard not to fall for the two juniors. As much as she hated falling into the stereotypical teenage girl narrative, there was no denying that they were hot.

Draken had longish blonde hair that fell straight, with face framing pieces. His blonde eyes were soft, while his bone structure sharp. Since Draken was part of the hockey team, the muscles under his clothes were clearly visible. He was kind, a group of friends followed him all the time, and between him and Yuuki, he was definitely more approachable.

Yuuki could be described as a bad boy. He had a low taper fade that perfectly complemented his features. His eyes though, were especially intimidating. Something fun about him is that he had a lip piercing. Rosalia really loved that. Much like Draken, he also had a muscular fit due to being part of the swimming team. She had yet to see him in his element. Yuuki was always seen with Draken no matter where.

There was also something else, something she wasn't able to explain. A sort of pull? No, she thought, she was being delusional. No way in hell would there be a parallel universe in which those two would be interested in someone like her.

With this conclusion, Rosalia lived the rest of her life normally. Suppressing one sided feelings that she will probably never be let known. She decided it was better to ignore the butterflies that had made its home in her stomach every time she caught a glimpse of the boys.

Rosalia gathered her items and stuffed them into her school bag. She was ready to finally leave school and enter the comfort of her apartment. That was until someone tapped her shoulder.

"Hi. Carmen." She said as she stretched a hand, motioning for a hand shake. The girl in front of her had the most gorgeous baby blue eyes and straight blonde mid-back length hair that suited her perfectly. Carmen was the definition of the girl-next-door. With her straight white teeth, sun-kiss tan, and petite but lean physique. Not to mention she was literally part of the cheerleading squad. This girl, was the it girl.

Rosalia was nervous, sure she had communicated with some of the student body before but none of them were up to Carmen's level. It was usually out of convenience when Rosalia would talk to a fellow classmate, such as group activities or pair work. Needless to say, a Carmen is never seen with a Rosalia.

As nervous and conflicted as she felt, Rosalia forced a smile and grabbed the girl's hand and shook it. "Rosalia."

Carmen shot her one of her million-dollar smiles. Rosalia, at this point had a feeling something was off because, seriously, why would she want to talk to herself out of all people. "I know it's a bit random for me to approach you like this, and Id be thrown off by myself too, and oh my god I'm probably rambling, sorry." Rosalia observed her as she apologized and cleared her throat.

"I think you're really pretty, and if it's okay with you, can we be friends?" There was a small blush forming on both of the girls. Rosalia didn't expect the conversation to lead to this. She truly was flattered and felt a sort of hope that maybe she wasn't going to be alone anymore. The girl decided not to stall any further and replied:

"Oh! I would very much like to be friends. I think you're gorgeous." The two girls shared a giggle, a blush still evident. Carmen let out a sigh of relief and they both exchanged contact information before heading out.

Rosalia couldn't help but feel giddy with the accomplishment of attaining a new friend, although she made her peace with living the rest of her life alone, a small part of her yearned for companionship.
