she turned to look at seo yul, who was now watching mudeok.
yul approached her slowly, and the two of them exchanged looks as if they were the only people in the world.
"this is hard to play. i am impressed," yul said to mudeok.
"i know how to do many things," she replied.
i know i'm eavesdropping, but i can't stop myself from hearing what they're saying.
"i would like it back," yul said referring to the whisper.
mudeok looked the whisper in her hands, "it looks very old, why do you have something so old?" she asked.
"it belongs to an old friend," yul replied.
"a friend?" saewon uttered
"seeing that you have it instead of your friend, i am guessing that friend is gone," she said to yul.
"yes. it belonged to that friend. it means alot to me, so give it back," yul demanded
"then in return for giving it back, teach me your breathing technique," she demanded back.
her brow's furrowed. breathing technique?
"you said it was going to be useless anyway. to me, this is just useless. so let us trade," she added.
she hold up the whisper in her hands, "this means nothing to me. so i could even break it," she threatened
yul came closer to mudeok. he took mudeok's hands in his.
"only three breaths," she heard him say.
yul continued to grip her hands as they exchanged intense looks.
saewon gripped my hanbok as her eyes began to well up with tears. she smiled bitterly and turned to leave.
"what a wonderful view," she thought as she left and made her way to chwiseonru for a drink.
"no one can stop me from drinking tonight. remembering the earlier scene causes my heart to ache more than i use my energy," she told herself.
