Day 1
"Alright listen up men! We are dropping into the city of New Madrid to track down and kill stray covenant forces. We drop in 30 seconds." Parker loaded his sniper and his SOCOM silenced pistol. This was his first real combat drop. "Everyone get into your HEV pods now!" hollered Captain Ross. "Drop in 5...4...3...2...1." Parker felt the sudden release of the ship's clamps. He was free falling through an aerial battle. Two seraphs shot down a longsword. "Deploy your chutes," Capt. Ross said on the radio. Parker felt the pod dramatically decrease its speed. "My chute is not responding!" cried Romero. Suddenly a Banshee rammed Romero's pod. The pod burst in flames and continued to fall. "Romero? If you can hear me, respond". But there was no answer. Parker watched helplessly as Romero's pod fell out of sight."Brace for impact!" hollered Captain. The pod collided with the solid concrete with a loud CRACK!
