"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

Grimmauld Place

It has been two weeks since Thanatos came to visit Rosabella Potter-Black. Since that day the young witch has been mostly working on packing up her belongings so that she can go to Potter Castle in Edinburgh.

Over the last couple of years, Rosabella had tried to make Grimmauld Place a home, not only for Sirius but for her as well. Now that her godfather is gone though, the old house only holds bitter-sweet memories. Even so, it was going to be hard to leave.

She had to remind herself to ask Kreacher and Orion if they would like to come with her when she finally left. The old house elf and Rosabella had gotten off to a rough start, but after all the time she spent with him, she had truly grown to care for him.

The same goes for Orion. She doesn't know what she will do if the man she has grown to see as her own grandfather doesn't want to come with her. Throughout the weeks Rosabella had spent living in Grimmauld Place, she and Orion have become very close. The green-eyed girl confides in him about almost all of her troubles, while he teaches her what she doesn't know about the wizarding world.

Rosabella had spent the last couple of days planning on where she should go once she leaves Grimmauld. Visiting Potter Castle is a must, she wants to see her parent's portraits before she does anything else. All of her life she had been waiting to meet her parents, she really did not fancy delaying it for much longer.

After that she wants, no needs, to see her papa. Rosabella hadn't spoken to him since before she went on the run, that was close to a year ago. The young witch had spent nine months hunting down Horcruxes, and not once could she contact her papa. She couldn't call or write to tell him she was alive and still fighting, it was torturous for her. Imagining what her father had been feeling all that time, brought her a sharp pang of guilt.

Yesterday, she had spent two hours listening through all of the voicemails her father had left her on her cellphone. He knew that magic and technology didn't mix well and that she couldn't use her phone, but he still left message after message. Each one begged her to be well and come home safe, the more she listened the more guilt she felt for not contacting him yet.

From the moment she had been brought into her papa's home, she was loved and cared for like she had never experienced before. She quickly became the center of her father's world, and she knew without a doubt that he would do anything for her. Rosabella loved him just as much, he was her hero, the person she depended on the most in the world. Heartbroken wouldn't even begin to explain how she would feel if she ever lost him, and she knows that he feels the same.

Which is probably why it was so hard for her to resist running straight home as soon as the battle ended eight weeks ago. She knew she couldn't do that though, not yet. The young witch had things she needed to take care of, and a lot of healing to do, before she could fall back into the comfort her father ensured.

In one of the last few messages, he mentioned that he had left their home in New York, and moved back to Mystic Falls, the place he was born and raised. As soon as she heard this she couldn't help but groan, she knew the only reason he would be in the town that he referred to as "the hell hole" was to cause trouble. She already knew that he was there to torment his younger brother. Her papa truly had a flare for the dramatics.

Looking over to the clock in the corner of the room, the young witch realizes that it is already past noon, she had spent the majority of the day in bed just thinking. Getting up with a heavy sigh, Rosabella leaves her snake, and niffler still sleeping on her bed, as she leaves the room.
