The cell was silent. Velvet was curled up on the hard mattress, looking at the stone wall. Venner stared at her, concerned for her well being. It's been weeks, months, maybe. And Velvet still wouldn't talk to him. He wasn't sure if it was from the horrible letters Velvet would receive from past fans or the betrayal she felt. The cold wind brushed against Velvets face, making her shiver. The soft tapping of the guards foot made Veneer look over to the cell bars. "Yall are lucky suckers." He pulled out keys and unlocked the cell, making velvet look up finally. They both stood up, one with their head held high, and ones head still looking to the ground.

"Let's go" The guard demanded, roughly grabbing Velvet and Veneers arms, pulling them out and into the long hallway of trapped mountragons. Banging echoed throughout the Block as they walked by. The howling, and yelling making Veneer flinch, though no reaction showed on Velvets face. They dragged them into a purple room, looking more like the mountragous they knew. The guards gave them clothes and shoes to wear. "Hurry up, daddy is waiting for you" they mocked, chuckling. A soft humph was heard from Velvet, making Veneer look in her direction.

Walking out of the room, they could smell the fresh air that lingered in the lobby of the mountragous jail. And it was so refreshing to the both of them. Velvet and Veneers father waited patiently in the lobby, scratching his unkempt beard. His eyes finally reached the siblings, making him stand up. He ran over to Veneer, giving him a big hug. "Okay dad, come on!" Veneer whined, pulling away from his grasp. Their father stroked Veneers face, the looked at Velvet. "I'm very disappointed in you young lady. Do you think this makes you a role model for your younger brother?!" The father exclaimed, crossing his lanky arms. Velvet stayed silent, looking at the ground.

Their father sighed in frustration. "I didn't raise you to be like this. Your mother is not going to be happy." Velvet looked up at him and frowned. "Maybe it'll be the first time she cared." She mumbled, her grip tightening on her own arm. "Oh just you wait." Pushing the siblings to the car, Veneer got into the front seat, while Velvet sat in the back. "You both are 19, and have been to jail! That's not what I want to tell people when I talk to them." Her father groaned, driving at a fast pace. "First, Velvets drivers license gets confiscated. And now jail! What's next huh?" Veneer looked at his father and then at Velvet. For the first time she had nothing to day, she just stayed silent.

The long car ride was silent, no one said a word. Until they had arrived at the house all the way out in the suburbs. Getting out for velvet was a nightmare, she thought of running away. But before her legs could move, her father dragged her into the house. Being dragged up the brick stairs hurt Velvets shins, and all Veneer could do is watch. He knew what would happen. The father slammed open the door and pushed the lanky girl inside. Some wine glasses were spread around the counter, and it reeked of cigarettes. Too bad they retired from being dentist's 3 years ago. That's when it really went down hill.

"Here she is! Our angel child!" The father yelled in sarcasm. Velvet watched as her mother stood up. She looked sick, too skinny for a mountragon. "What the fuck were you thinking?! Trolls?!" The mother yelled, throwing her hands up. Velvet walked past her, speeding to her old room. "Don't get too fucking comfortable Velvet! We're gonna have this talk!" Velvet turned around, tears swelling in her eyes. "Just leave me alone!" She yelled, opening the door that has a glittery purple sign that read,"Velvet".
