Wakfu Elemental Prophecy

Chapter 2: Meeting Sir Percedal and into the Forbidden Forest we go!

The little black creatures continues to turn people into bushes in the village. As me, Yugo, Ruel, and Alibert start to attack them, I start swinging Mara at them, cutting them in half and squashing them. I see Ruel and Alibert squishing them with there shovels, Yugo running on a barrel and swatting away the tiny creatures with a broom, and Jolly biting and scratching them like if they were mice. I then continued slaying them with Mara. " Eww, could you not use me like a fly swatter?" Mara ask disgusted while covered in the black goo." Oh don't be a wuss now Mara, u always get covered in nasty stuff when I cut any monster anyway." I say in annoyance. " Oh Yeah, suuuuuuuper fun." Mara says in sarcasm. "Shut up." I say. As the area is clear, I hear Yugo crying, I run up to him only to see Yugo on his knees crying as his father was turned into a bush as well. I walked to him and crouched on to his level and comforted him. "Don't worry Yugo, I'm sure will find a way to turn him back, as well as the villagers who got turned into bushes too, I promise." I say while putting a hand on his shoulder. He looks at me sniffling before pulls me for a hug crying against my stomach, I then hug him back as Ruel walks towards us." Poor, poor Alibert..." Ruel says sadly before turning his head to both of us." Don't worry Yugo, well find a cure I know an eniripsa that cou-" " Where is he!?" A voice interrupts Ruel. We all turn around and see the male iop woke up and looking around. "The boy who freed me from the evil rubilax!" The iop yells. " Well I forgotten about him, you finally woke up then." Rule says as the iop walks up to us. "Sir Percedal of Sadlygrove, noble knight and order of the guardians of the shushus. You saved my soul, I will pay this debt even if it costs me my life." Percedal says while bowing. "That's not the way he talks to me, a knight? (laughs) I've heard that one before." His shushu says. Percedal then takes him out of his scabbard and looks at the shushu irritated. "I COMMAND YOU PUT A PUT A SOCK IN IT, DEMON!!!" Percedal says glaring at him. " You'd still be a farmhand if it wasn't for me. And a dead one at that." The shushu explained. " I HAD A MOMENT OF WEAKNESS, THAT'S ALL! I'D HAVE BEEN JUST FINE WITHOUT YOU!!" Percedal yells. " The truth is that you're nothing but a lowly peasant, totally unworthy of guarding a shushu. Especially one of my quality!" The shushu says. "ARE YOU GONNA SHUT UP!?" Percedal yells again. "Guardian my foot." The shushu murmurs before Percedal hits him on the ground. "Ow! Ow! You're such a wimp!" The shushu yells while being hit to the ground multiple times. I'm just staring at the two giggling as the others stared at him awkwardly. "Don't even think about it Y/N." Mara glares at me. "Hey, you don't know if I will do the same to you if you tick me off, 'cause I find it kinda funny." I say smirking at her. "Don't you even dare!" She yells. "Look, I know couples sometimes have their problems, but right now, we have bigger snappers to fry!" Ruel yells at the two of them. Percedal the stops and looks at me and smile while blushing. Right as he was about to approach me, Jolly ran and head butts him with his horns in the stomach before growling at him. "OOF hey, what gives little guy, I was gonna say hi to the pretty iop. What, you wanna fight me or something?" Percedal say glaring at Jolly. "No, He probably thinks you're still a threat even after the whole possessed by a shushu thing, he's just being protective of me, he does that." I explained before crouching next to him. "Jolly it's ok, he's not a threat anymore see, he's on our side." I tell him with a gentle voice. Jolly stops growling at him before slowly walking up to him still a bit feral. Percedal got down on one knee and then put his hand in front of Jolly. Jolly gets a bit alarmed but sniffs Percedal's hand, and then his frown turned upside down. Jolly then jumps onto Percedal and licks his face happliy." AHH, (laughs) it's nice to meet you too Jolly!" Percedal exclaims while getting tickled by Jolly's face. When Jolly stopped he held Jolly for a little while he looks at me then my shushu." Hey, you're a guardian too!" Percedal says excitedly with a wide grin. "Yep, and her name is Mara. oh by the way my name is Y/N." I said while smilling. " Such a pretty name for a fellow maiden." Percedal says before I started blushing "I .... Uh. Thank you..." I stammered. "Look around" Ruel says frustrated. Percedal then puts Jolly down and looks around before turning back to us. " Oh, you had Polters here as well? They invaded two other villages. They come from the Forbidden Forest." Percedal continues." I went myself, but didn't have time to find out very much. I was attacked by a vile monster when I was aslEEp!" "And that's when you cried, so I promised to save your life." The shushu interrupts. "And remember wh..." "WILL YOU SHUT UUUP!" Percedal yells before hitting him on the ground again. "Liar, liar... Ow! Pants on fire... Ow!" The shushu yells back while getting hit again. "Seriously, Rubilax!" Percedal says while hitting him. Yugo then turns to his dad before turning back to us. "The Forbidden Forest! Let's go!" Yugo says with tears still in his eyes. " If we can find out why these Polters attacked us, We might be able to find a solution." Be carful, Yugo. Terrible things have happened in that forest." The girl says with a hood on. One of the kids then turn to Yugo with tears in his eyes." Please free are parents" The kid says desperately. Yugo then smiles at him." Don't worry Ruel, Y/N, and I will sort it all out." Yugo says. " I usually don't work free of charge, but I'll make an exception for an old friend." Ruel says before both him and Yugo turn to me and Jolly. "Well I'm not after a bounty right now, so a little adventure won't hurt, besides I did say I promise you Yugo that I'll find a cure for your dad anyways." I say while smiling. "Yay, thank u Y/N!" Yugo yells happily before jumping at for another hug. "You're welcome Yugo, now let's hit the road everybody, ready Jolly." I ask before Jolly cutely mews happily with his stinger like tail wagging and his wing flapping." Jolly says "Yes!" I said. "Then let's go then." Yugo said before walking to the Forbidden Forest, me and Ruel follow as well. " Sir Percy, aren't you supposed to be following for savior?" Rubilax asks before laughing evilly. Percedal then pauses at what he was doing before turning to the remaining villagers, they all point to the direction me and the others were heading before he starts running towards us. "Hey, wait for me!" Hell before catching up with us. 'What have I got myself into' I ask myself chuckling.

(A few minutes later)

While we were entering the forest, Ruel, Percedal, and I were chatting while Yugo was walking behind us, and Jolly sniffing on the ground ahead of us. "Bounty hunting? (Scoffs) Waste of time!" Ruel pauses. " It cost much more looking for bounty than it brings in." "Well me and Jolly does bounty through our journey, and that doesn't waste our time, beside it helps with how much Kamas we get for our journey." I add in. " Well for fifty years ago, bounty was a respectable trade for me. But nowadays, well..." Ruel say before pausing. "Fifty years ago? So when were you born, old-timer?" Percedal asks. "Don't "old timer" me, I could still show you a thing or two!" Ruel argues. " Hey, has anyone seen Az?" Yugo asks. I then turn around to look at him before seeing Az hiding behind a tree. I See Yugo smirk at the tree before making a portal, then he grabbed Az from behind. Az starts to squirm from the surprised grabbing, I then start to giggle before walking up to Ruel and Percedal. " The forest is enormous." Percedal pauses looking around. " I spent a whole month here, and still didn't recover much. I even made a map so I wouldn't get lost." He says before pulling out a piece of paper. I then look over Percedal's shoulder but didn't realize he was blushing. "So I guess we're right here." Ruel says pointing at a spot on the map. "  Hey, I don't know! It may not be accurate, but it is pretty." Percedal says before smilling. " I see, Sir Percedal is an artrist." Ruel says in sarcasm. " Have you ever considered selling your work? I have good contacts in Bonta." Ruel ask before Percedal felt a hand taps his shoulder. Percedal then looks around wondering who did it and turned to Ruel, he then taps his hand on Ruel's shoulder thinking it was him, and turning back to the map. I then turn to Yugo knowing it was him using one of his portals, me, Yugo, and Az started giggling. "All right already, quit Iopping around. Yugo, take a look up there." Ruel says before turning to us. " Piece of cake." Yugo says before using portals one at a time to jump from branch to branch. " Wow, those are cool moves, man!" Percedal says amazed by Yugo's magic. "Yeah, and by the looks a it, he's a quick learner too Percy." I said not realizing what i just called him. "W-what, Percy!?" Percedal asks while blushing mad. Once I realized what I called him I quickly apologized. "O-oh, sorry, I didn't mean to call you that I-I just..." I stammered. "no it's okay, Y-you can call me that if you want." Percedal says shyly while rubbing the back of his neck. " You see anything Yugo?" Ruel asks. Just as he says that I see Yugo teleport himself behind Percedal. "BOOOO!!" Yugo shouts. Percedal jumps at the sound before turning around grabbing Rubilax and transforming his shushu into a big green blade. "(Laughs) Well, there's a really tall tree that way. Why don't we head over there?" "Perfect, let's go then." I say before walking with them. " Outsmarted by a kid! (Laughs) How pathetic!" Rubilax insults. " I TOLD YOU TO KEEP QUIET!!!" Percedal yells angrily before slamming Rubilax on the ground again. "OWW!" Rubilax cries out. "This sword is unbearable!" Percedal says. " Believe me, being a guardian of a Shushu is no mean feat." " Folks, I just wanna remind you that this is called the Forbidden Forest, because it's the most dangerous forest in all of Amakna. " Ruel says while all of us stop and turn to him. " And the reason we're here is to discover why the Polters attacked our village. So let's stay out of trouble. And most of all, we should stick together. "Ok!" Me and Yugo says before we suddenly turn hearing a girls scream in the distance. Percedal then did some weird poses then points Rubilax to where we heard the noise. "A damsel in distress! Awesome!" Percedal cheers before running towards the noise. Ruel then turns to both me and Yugo. " Didn't we all just decided to stick together?" " That's right! So we'd better follow him!" Yugo says before going after Percedal. " Yeah, let's go Jolly!" I say before running after the two boys with Jolly quickly following me. "What a great idea, we all follow the Iop." Ruel says sarcastically while turning the Az.
