Patience. He despised the word, as he had absolutely none. He wanted him, and he wanted him now. A few days may have been okay, but weeks? Months? He was going insane.

He opened the door and walked in, head lowered. He perched on the end of the bed and sighed. He clenched his fists and abruptly stood. He turned to the glass doors that led out to the balcony. He refused to ever cry in front of him, that wasn't like him. He had an image to keep; it was rather important to him. He gripped the railing tightly as he attempted to blink away the quickly forming tears.

The balcony was a rather confusing and contradicting place. He thought back to nights when they would cuddle and watch the sun set (how cliché, but yet always an instant heart winner). However, there were less enjoyable moments spent there. He'd watched Max climb up onto the railing on several occasions. He would stand there, willing himself to jump with wide spread arms. Something always caught him though. Whether it was a memory, reality, or just pure fear, he would never know. He'd step back, bury his face in his hands, and simply break down. Sometimes he'd take a few minutes, sometimes a few hours. He would then quietly apologize to either some deep part of himself or to someone who would never hear, and then come back to bed, as if nothing had ever happened. It was a place to go when he hit rock bottom; a place to go to refresh and start over.

He'd have to start over yet again. Ten months ago, he'd been in a rather messy accident. He'd been frustrated over something and drank himself into a ridiculously reckless state. He'd really believed that he could still drive while being as screwed up as he was. He'd ended up barely scraping through, and within a day's time, he'd slipped into a coma.

Ronnie had been taking care of him for the last ten months. He still kissed his cheeks and talked to him. He was now composed enough to enter the room again. He quickly pecked his cheek and continued on his way down the hallway.

TJ had absentmindedly walked into him. "Oh, Ronnie, I'm sorry."

"They're supposed to be back today?"

"Yeah." He smiled. "I missed my baby so much."

Ronnie sighed heavily and smiled gently. "Look, even as much as I hate Mabbitt, I'm glad that you guys get to be together now. You're lucky." He pushed past TJ and continued on.

At that moment, Craig's obnoxious voice sounded. "Hey bitches, Mabbitt's back in the building!"

TJ bounded down the steps in excitement. The others followed behind Craig, the trail being led by Michael, then Kevin, Monte, and Robert. Ronnie quickly said his hellos and decided to head back upstairs.

He was astounded. Max was sitting up in the bed, eyes glazed over and dead looking. Sammi walked in as part of a daily routine. She was the doctor of the house. She'd supplied the medical instruments needed to ensure his survival. She gently pushed past Ronnie and kneeled down by the side of the bed. "Hi Max, honey, how do you feel?"

He studied her pretty face carefully, trying to recall who she was. He gave up and simply nodded. She turned to Ronnie, "Be careful with him." She waved and walked out. "Bye guys."

Ronnie approached his fiancée. "Baby, I really missed you." He reached for his one of Max's hands, but Max pulled it away sharply.

"What's the matter?' He forced his voice not to give away the sudden hurt he felt.

Bright blue eyes, once defiant, were now tearing up. "I'm so confused, I don't know who that woman was, I don't know who you are." He wiped his eyes groggily.

Ronnie felt himself tear up. "You don't remember me? At all?"

"No, I'm sorry."

Ronnie clenched his fists and stormed out of the room. It wasn't fair at all. He didn't deserve this, neither of them did. Fucking bullshit. He soon ran into Sammi. He grabbed her abruptly, turning her so that she was facing him. "What the hell happened?"

She pulled away from him. "Radke, I'm very patient, but don't you fucking test me. It's common for coma patients to wake up with amnesia. It might take a while for him to remember anything. There's no guarantee that he even remembers anything at all. You need to just give him a while to adjust. That means don't hound him with questions, don't get in his face, don't get upset." She sighed. "You're going to have to treat him like you don't know him."

He turned away from her and stormed down the stairs. The others were still unloading the stuff from the trailer outside, periodically prancing in and out. He was extremely upset right now. He burst out of the doorway and headed towards the back of the trailer. He grabbed the first person he passed. Craig. He'd always had problems with that little bitch.

Craig must have had Monte bitching over his shoulder nonstop. He'd put his makeup on, shaved the little ratstache that always seemed to be there, and had his long hair pulled back in a loose ponytail in the back. He was wearing black skinny jeans that had been ripped to shreds, an Iron Maiden tank top, and fucking Toms. Toms. He had his bull ring and snakebites in. "What do you want Radke?" He set down the amp he was carrying.

Ronnie swiftly punched him in the face.

Craig swung back, fist colliding with Radke's jaw.

TJ saw and ran over, dragging Monte with him. Kevin was standing nearby drinking his beer. The other two were busy.

Within a matter of minutes they'd ended up on the ground, Ronnie pulling hair while Craig sank his teeth into his arm.

"Radke, kick his ass!"

"C'mon Craig, quit being a pussy!"

"Baby, you're gonna get hurt, stop it!"

Sammi rushed out the door and grabbed the hose. She soaked both of them, earning their attention. "Both of you, get off of each other and grow up."

Now here was Mabbitt, always pushing his luck. He threw another punch at Ronnie, just continuing the fight further. Ronnie punched him in the back of the head, ending what he had started. He let out a sigh of relief as Craig's face met the ground. He felt better now. He strolled past a panicking TJ, disappointed Kevin, and a snickering Monte. He made his way back to his room, but he stopped in the doorway. Michael was sitting at the end of the bed, Max beside him. He leaned in to hear them better.

"I know it'll be really difficult to do, but everything will come back to you eventually. You just need a while to get used to everyone."

"Earlier I made that guy really upset, I honestly didn't remember him. He was acting like I should have known him by heart. Who was he?"

Michael sighed. "It was probably Ronnie. He's your fiancé."

Max sat for a moment with his jaw slightly parted. "A guy?"

"Yeah, a guy. Does that bother you?"

"No... I don't think so, it's just surprising."

"You know, he loves you very much. He's very stubborn, he's going to try to force his way back to you. He's doing it out of love though."

"I want to talk to him."

"I'll go find him, ok?" He turned to the doorway and smiled. "Well look, Prince Charming here must have gone for a swim."

Ronnie walked in, "Hey Michael, can you give us a little time?"

"Sure." He waved and strolled out, leaving Ronnie and Max to themselves.
