Dear Cleo,

The leader of the realm of darkness, he is known as the Black god, a creature made of pure evil, blood, and poison, mixed together. My scent, must've attracted him here. In history, he'd served as the vampire king's executioner for thousands of years, a position he found fitting for his general hatred for those with the purest hearts. He looked at me, like he wanted to eat me, shallow me whole, and even though Faerin and Kairin were blocking his path from me, I still felt something off. Something dark, and sickening. I later learned what I was smelling was him. The aura he was giving off, he'd used it to distract, and terrorize me. I didn't know how to protect them, I didn't know how to do anything, the only thing I could do, was stand there, frozen, while he poisoned Faerin and Kairin. Tears slid down my face, as I watched the blood soaking Kairin's arms. I wanted to run to him, I wanted to save him, rescue him, protect him, like he'd promised to do for me. And this was how I planned on doing that.

You won't understand any of what I'm writing to you, but I'm going to say, you don't have too. I don't even know if I understand it myself. I only have a few minuets left, if I want this sent to you. I just want to say thank you, for allowing me to stay with you. I was wondering if I could possibly ask a favor of you, I ask you, please don't show this letter to Karirin, he doesn't need to know I'm alive. He needs to keep thinking I'm dead, its better for him, if I stay here. I won't tell you where I am, just in case, my words aren't being read by you, and someone else.

But if that's the case, and this isn't being seen by you, I want you to know, reader, I've never loved another man, as much as I loved you, Kairin Mantra, you were my world, my hero, the one I will forever dream about, while I'm asleep. Thank you for saving me, and loving me.

I'll never forget you.
