Well, following the previous message, it's a pleasure to know that many people have enjoyed my stories. I send a warm greeting to all, my friends; I'm KaleidoMirror.

I wrote with sincerity and a deep appreciation for the works and franchises of RWBY and Fate/Stay Night.

That's why I bring you Chapter 3; I hope you like it since this is the new updated version, with the corresponding fixes, to enhance the reading. Without further ado, let's begin.

Greetings to everyone.

The icy and cutting wind whispered across the vast desolate expanse of the wasteland as the elite squad of Atlas soldiers carved their way through the dense tundra and the relentless weather of that inhospitable region.

Leading the formation was the newly promoted Field Officer Ironwood, never ceasing to analyze the position on the holographic map constantly. "Maintain your positions," he instructed. "Our priority is to keep the perimeter and not lower our guard against potential Grimm threats."

The soldiers' silent nods were the response, deploying a new formation in a coordinated manner. They kept in mind their mission to explore and maintain reconnaissance of the surrounding area.

Despite intelligence reports suggesting unusual activity in the last twelve hours, Ironwood maintained his caution. "I think you should take a look at this, my Officer," commented Jensen, a first-class soldier, with a hint of disbelief in his voice. Ironwood directed his gaze towards the uneven and rugged terrain, revealing unprecedented devastation.

The surviving trees showed uneven burns, the snow had melted, and a gigantic crater of over a kilometer in diameter, with an uncertain depth, marked the dramatic change in one of the designated areas.

"We cannot overlook these findings," declared Ironwood, assessing the troops distributed in five groups. "Let's reaffirm and compare the changes in geography."

He stepped back to meet with the squadron leaders, whose faces reflected military discipline and determination. "Everyone should proceed according to military protocol. The mission's objective is clear: investigate what is happening in this remote region of Remnant," he sighed before reloading his weapon. "I don't want anyone to fall to the Grimms. Keep constant communication between the groups, understood?"

"Yes, my Officer," they responded in unison, displaying proper military composure.

Breaking into rows, they regrouped with their gaze fixed forward, inspecting any changes in the environment. They maintained vigilance as they advanced towards their next objectives.

The journey became increasingly relentless, with a cold that penetrated to the bones and challenging gusts of wind carrying the sinister whisper of the snowstorm. Every step of the squad resonated in the silence; changes in the environment kept everyone on alert, revealing that something monumental had happened; it was inevitable to think of an event capable of affecting such a vast expanse.

"It was madness!" exclaimed someone in the group as they observed the changes spreading for kilometers around. Desolation seized the landscape: shattered vegetation, smoking craters, and black mud, unmistakable signs of escalating devastation that generated an unsettling feeling of discomfort in the hearts of the soldiers.

Through silent signals, the order to regroup spread. Ironwood took command: "Maintain flanks on standby." However, tranquility was ephemeral, interrupted when the silence was torn apart.

"Howl!"

"Trumpet!"

"Roar!"

From the depths of craters and among the trees, shadows emerged suddenly. From the cliffs on the periphery of their vision, their presence was undeniable: the Grimm, dark and terrifying creatures lurking in the darkness, had set up an ambush, taking everyone by surprise.
