'Quiet... It's so.. quiet.

I feel so weightless..

...something isn't right-'

Your eyes snapped open, a searing pain tearing through your body. You were sitting against a rough brick wall and the ground was quite warm. You clenched your jaw and tried to move, but the excruciating pain that shot through your body stopped you. You looked down to see gold;  your hands, legs and clothes were covered in your blood and the ground was red- wait. Your focus switched to the environment around you, and everything came back.

You are an angel. You weren't entirely sure how you'd made it to Heaven; you didn't believe in the idea of Christ. You believed in the afterlife, sure, but you'd assumed it was some perpetual limbo; just.. existing until you were reincarnated and shoved into a different life. You considered yourself, well, blessed to be in Heaven.

Adam, however, had become infatuated with you shortly after you had arrived in Heaven; coming to visit you a few times a week despite the rule stating that beings with high statuses were not allowed to form relationships with human angels. The attraction was entirely one sided, his ego and word choices were undesirable at best.

After a while, though, his.. obsession, got progressively worse- to the point of him visiting your dwelling at odd hours, bringing you multiple gifts a day, asking to sleep with you-  and then he started getting touchy.

You'd tried to get someone involved, but Saint Peter didn't care much and the Seraphim were impossible to speak with, so you quickly gave up on that plan- but you'd recently overheard Adam and Lute talking about a hotel in Hell, run by Lucifer's daughter, Charlie. They'd said that she was trying to rehabilitate sinners and actually help them change; get them to Heaven or something. While they hatefully discussed their opinions on the hotel, it gave you an idea. Maybe, that hotel would be a much needed escape from this place.

You were so very conflicted. Go to Hell just so you could get away from Adam? What a ridiculous, horrible, stupid idea. You'd criticize yourself for thinking of something so drastic- until Adam was back; letting himself into your home, going through your kitchen, often judging you for your tastes- which he'd follow with a backhanded compliment. It was already bad enough that you'd walk into your house after being out running errands to find him asleep on your couch, snoring so terribly that you'd wanted to rip your own skin off. There was something else, though..

You tried to remember, pressing a palm against your forehead. You hissed in pain and withdrew your hand, which was now glistening with your golden blood.

Right. You were asking Adam to leave; you'd been at work until late at night and you had come home to him laying on your couch, getting food crumbs everywhere as he messily crunched on a bag of chips. You'd told him you'd had a long day and politely asked him to leave, but he just got up and walked over to you, asking if you'd like to 'spend time' together. You turned him down and said that you'd like to go to bed; he was getting on your nerves.

As you gave up and turned to head to your bedroom- he grabbed your wrist, pulled you back, and smacked your ass. That was, unfortunately, your breaking point. Without much thought, you'd pulled yourself out of his grasp and walked to the kitchen. Adam's voice plagued your mind as he followed you, "Gotta hand it to you, this hard-to-get thing is pretty hot, y/n."

Something flicked in your mind, and all you saw was red. You had tunnel vision as you reached for your knife block, pulling the largest one out. "Woah- the hell are you doing?" Adam's face switched from confusion to something else, and it set your bones on fire. "I didn't think you were into that," He chuckled. "but crazy bitches turn me on."
