I stopped in my tracks and stared at the blond- internally wondering what I've done to get to such a point in life.

Maybe it was because of the fact I tried out for this school in the first place.

Is my life a joke? I'm so screwed..

What entity out there caused this? I will personally find and hunt you down. (Not that I even believe in higher beings but still..)

The worst part? He literally was just sitting at his seat, clipping his nails like it was nobody's business.

Hell..did he even notice my existence yet?..

Eventually I just decided to sit down and stop standing in the middle of a walkway.

This was going to be a long day..

Well..I was right. The teacher keeps monologuing about the school rules!

Like..yeah, we get it. It's digital money and stuff here. She's so cryptic too..

Like.. I'm not the only one that gets an odd vibe, right??

Her phrasing is like..so odd for no reason. Is she perhaps not well-versed in Japanese or something?

'You'll get 100, 000 points and you'll continue to receive points monthly,'

Weirdest phrasing I've heard in my life.

It's basically implying we're not getting the same amount next month!

Weird.

Eh, as long as I'm getting that money I'll be fine.

She also said something about no outside contact.

I guess I'll kinda miss my family? Not really. They're okay but I wouldn't mind not seeing them for another 3 years.

They wouldn't mind too.

Anyway, I had a question about that 'points can buy anything'  thing she talked about briefly.

Could I just buy a graduation certificate and just leave?

That'll be cool. I'll miss out on some points but I've never really liked studying anyway.

But it must be expensive..

I'll just save up. I wonder if we can get more points by working or something! I wouldn't mind getting a job.

Other than my teacher's endless monologue, the place is pretty cool! I can't wait to check out the stores.

However, just as I was about to leave..

   "Hey guys, can we introduce ourselves? Since we're a class and yet don't know each other," a student voiced out.

Turning to face him, I realized he was most definitely one of those soon-to-be popular kids. He was attractive and I already saw a handful of female students drooling over him.

Plus, his confidence was honestly very comforting as a whole. Bonus points for that I guess?

I didn't feel like I could refuse despite the fact it was a mere request. I'll just deal with my social anxiety for once..I guess..

I watched my life flash before my eyes as the introductions started. This was going to be my demise.

After seeing the others' introductions, I've decided on making one that wouldn't make me stand out too much.

Ahem..like a certain other student.

  "It's a pleasure to meet you all. A few things I'm fond of is  art, writing and I occasionally play Chess," I went with a polite but serious tone. Mostly so people wouldn't interact with me.

Just as I was about to sit down, Hirata called out to me.

"Excuse me, but what is your name?"

Oh shoot.

"You can call me.. Mokusei.."

Good enough.

Right after my introduction was our dear blondie. He still had that sense of superiority floating around him..

And wow. He really just introduced himself to the females of the class.

He got his priorities straight though!

The rest of the introductions were rather boring and not really worth mentioning at all. I mean, there was even one person that had one so bad that we had to clap out of pity.

Seems like I'm not the only one with social anxiety.

Anyway, I'm getting out of here and buying stuff.

Yeah. I was right. This place is the best. They even have free items!

Makes saving up real easy. I wasn't that evil so I only got a two-in-one shampoo body wash thing and a small bottle of water.

It's great. The shampoo thingy smells like lukewarm water but it's free so who cares?

"You're from Class D, aren't you?"

Hm? What's going on?..

I saw some students outside the store, talking about something.

The older students were..making fun of the younger ones? Wait that guy that I clapped out of pity for and that overdramatic dude that refused to introduce himself?

What a duo..but anyways.

Huh?

"Yeah, so what?"

"AHAHA! I knew it! You're going to see hell soon. Let's get out of here,"

And..they just left.

Wow.

Wait what?

Hell?

Oh.

There's a hierarchy and we're at the bottom.

Pretty obvious now I think about it.

A is usually associated with perfection so D would be associated with.. imperfection and defectiveness..?

Now I know why that blondie is in my class! He's an idiot!-

I mean..he is smart but maybe not academically or maybe he just doesn't care?

Hold up...my class is just morons?

Wait.. I'm a moron?

Are we going to get bullied or something for being at the bottom of the intelligence hierarchy?

I mean..he did say it would be hell soon. Maybe after we get our exam results back or something of that nature?

I thought the school would manage bullying..?

Something isn't adding up.

A/N:

MC is just me when I first watched the show.

I found the phrasing odd but I played it off as weirdly translated sub.

Also, I thought hell refered to them getting bullied for being dumb or something at first.

Yeah..I was not the brightest.
