I'll probably finish this book by the end of this year

College has been slowing down my life
Not in a bad way

It's grounding me

My art has been taking longer and longer
But I don't think that's a bad thing
You just need to know that

Even if it seems like I'm not here
Rest assured

I will always be

On a vast meadow where a war took place
A king who had lost his queen sat distraught and despairing

One night in his tent
One of the foot soldiers sent to serve him the food and wine came

The king told him to stay and accompany him that night

And the pawn did

He stayed there every night as the war went on

To be the king's confidant
friend

And sometimes bed mate

But one day
When the army was missing a few men

The foot soldier the pawn was recruited

In the front lines

The king pulled him aside and told him

"If you reach the enemy and slay their king
You'll come back my queen"
At that promise the pawn was sent off

With his sword cutting through flesh and metal he has slain the enemy king

And brought his head to his own king as proof

And with that
The pawn had become a queen
